At least there is a workaround with the ~empty~ value. The bigger problem is if you are submitting a value of "0". This will be regarded as "NULL" instead of "0".

I fully support this. This has been an issue for years now and provokes question marks all around the organisation. I cannot believe so few people have a problem with this.
