I haven't. In looking into this further, it may just be a design issue
that could be improved. When you edit an existing metric, if the formula
name is changed, and then you save, this acts liks a save as and you
have a new metric. I didn't realize that since I was just looking at the
original metric name I created. Well, something that could be improved
but sorry to waste your time on it.
Ben, I think there is a defect of once you have these metrics setup and
then going to edit and change the formula or the formula name. I have
made the same changes several times and only part of one is working -
something to look into. Reach out if I can provide more details.
Currently, only standard events can be chosen when creating custom
calculated metrics. It would be so helpful if we could select our own
custom events. A related issue I am running into, is that I want to keep
some of my Standard Events as is like scAdd (Cart Addition) but I want
to use a custom event that is this same variable but serialized for my
custom metric. I don't believe there is a solution to either of these -
I have an immediate need where 35% of our online revenue is not being
trackied in SC. I thought this virtual focus group feature would be the
answer. The custom variables would allow me to include an order number
to match up what orders are not being tracked. It would also help to see
the specific time (not just date) to also help with this matching up
since I am guessing you don't want to give us the ability to search or
filter to see a specific visit.
It is nice that you can now add 50 IP addresses but the core of this
issue is that you can not exclude IP address ranges. Adding this ability
and being able to apply these additions to multiple or all report suites
is what we really need.
Although the pathing reports are powerful, they are just a snapshot of
time. It would be amazingly powerful to include the ability to trend
these reports to easily see month to month trending between two pages
for example. Thank you for the consideration.
Although you can use a custom variable (s.prop or evar), I would like to
be able to use SAINT and classifications natively with the File
Downloads section. Surprized this isn't allowed. Thank you for the
It would be great if we could implement SiteCatalyst video tracking for
our on-demand webcast videos that are within Adobe Connect. With Adobe
being the Omniture parent company, I was surprized this wasn't already a
possibility. Thank you for the consideration.
A powerful search report would be if you could see metrics like revenue
and orders for paid search, natural search, and internal search
together. Being able to see what percentage of your total revenue and
orders (for example) that are coming in through one of these three
search types would be very insightful.
I am sure I can pay to have more than 15 two-variable Data Correlations
for my account. We have only been serious about using Omniture for six
months and have already ran out of these data correlations. Please allow
more by default - perhaps 30.
Like many of you, we have hundreds of employees and most of them have a
mobile phone. We need a solution to filter out this traffic from our
mobile and other reports. The only solution Omniture currently provides
is requiring each user to have an Omniture login so they can check the
"Exclude this Computer" checkbox which is not realistic. I have a hard
time believing there isn't a better solution in place. Please implement.
Report Dashboard / Email / Advanced Delivery Options / I would like the
ability when using FTP to have these scheduled reports overwrite the
existing file. This would allow us to update a number of reports on a
regular basis (every month for example) in an automated fashion without
any manual work. Please vote for and implement this suggestion. Dave
The Key Visitors report could be extremely valuable. Along with tracking
your competitors, it would be nice to be able to track your VIP
customers as example. Obviously, by being able to only add 5 of these,
there isn't much value here. This seems like an easy fix to provide a
lot of value. Thank you,Dave
