Hi guysKeen to use auto-allocate to test a new feature on one of our critical metrics however docs suggest Manual allocation is better for 'characterizing performance' but I cant understand why can someone elaborate?https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/target/using/activities/auto-allocate/automated-traffic-allocation.html?lang=en#section_3F73B0818A634E4AAAA60A37B502BFF9Cheers

Hi I'd like to create a test that isnt expose to visitors qualifying for a specific test earlier in the journey i.e. on homepage.I tried creating the following Profile Script and using this in my audience but based on debugging/ trace it seems like activeActivities always returns an empty array in the profile script.if(!user.get('not_in_homepage_activity')){ if(user.activeActivities.indexOf(123456) == -1){ return 'true'; } }How can i resolve this?

@mikewebguy any reason why you wouldnt setup a normal A/B test and have each of the 5 segments setup as an experience audience and 20% allocated to A (control)?

Hi @Paul_M_Anderson we sometimes trigger activities based click events etc using the getOffer() in the handler to retrieve the activity. I assume you could do the same thing and pass your profile params and then within the loaded offer utilise those paramsadobe.target.getOffer({ "mbox": "target-global-mbox", "params": { "a": 1, "b": 2, "profile.age": 27, "profile.gender": "male" }, "success": function(offer) { adobe.target.applyOffer( { "mbox": "target-global-mbox", "offer": offer } ); }, "error...

Talking to our Adobe CSM today currently theres no way to see auto allocate and Auto-target tests in AA even with A4T 😞 (also Auto-target is premium only) . Not getting this data into AA is a bit of a blocker for us given AA for analysis. The kicker - if you you do run a test with auto allocate/target and dont have enough volume i dont think theres a way to get any of sort data out of Target ? But i stand to be corrected.

Hi Mike, thanks for sharing so it sounds there is a limitation in using AAM in that visitors wont be allocated into test/control audiences until next page which, for for the most part i dont think will impact experiments that target behaviour that happened previously. Can you offer any advice on creating holistic control group in AAM or Target across multiple activities?

Hi has anyone created global controls for A/B testing and personalisation programs? And how did you do it? I was thinking of using AAM and the Audience Lab feature to create some broad, mutually exclusive audiences with a control segment with say 10% allocation. Then mapping the treatment segments only to Target for usage in A/B test audiences.Thoughts?CheersRichard

Hi we consistently seem to have issues reaching any confidence with tests whereby visitors may convert multiple times for the goal metric. It seems to 'throw out' the test duration calculations. Is this a known phenomenon with using such goal metrics that i should be aware of ?Our current approach which is laborious is exporting data via DW and then using the Adobe offline calculator (Excel doc) and calculating conversions as any 'visitor who has 1 or more instances of the given success event'. I...

Hi Shruthi thanks for the reply still a bit lost. You say refinements have been replaced with full audience functionality but i still see 'Audience Refinement' within each experience under location selection - is this that just for legacy? Also regarding using targeting audience browser = Chrome AND audience refinement page = /support wouldnt this lead to more collisions? As your bucketing ALL Chrome visitors into the activity even though the experience will only be triggered on the /support page?...

Hi hoping some can clarify what the difference is.I other posts Re: When should I be using Audiences vs. Refinements? I have seen people describe Audience as where you define who can enter the campaign and Refinement to define the page scope. However, within Audience can also define page scope as well.Is this hangover from a legacy version of Target? i.e. has the page scoping rules been now merged into Audiences so refinement is redundant?

I would double check display:none / visibility:hidden are being applied as theres no reason why they wouldnt work cross browser. Sounds like a selector or load order issue. If your still having issues maybe try hiding via parent element i.e. the DIV that encloses the iframe

Anyone else noticed the latest Firefox tracking blocker feature preventing Target from loading? Our testers are finding they have to constantly disable the tracking blocker to see our tests which has me concerned, with now Safari launching their own tracker blocking features in the latest versionThis article suggests Firefox is blocking the Adobe tracking hostname (omtrdc.net or 2o7.net) Firefox tracking protection blocks all the major tracking vendors Would be good to know if anyone else is fac...

Hi Rjanesh no problem hope it was of some assistance. The gateway offer and dynamic offer are using same audience however the dynamic offer is setup to split traffic 50/50 between A/B experiences and from testing that seems to be workingCheersRichard

Hi Andrew, not sure if this helps but i'll share the solution we use for loading campaigns dynamically; we create 2 activities where one acts as a 'gateway' with conditional logic to load the actual activity with the test. Here's the rough outline of the code for the 'gateway' activity - note help-modal-test-mbox is the custom mbox used as the location in activity with the actual test:jQuery(document).ready(function(){ if(jQuery('#help-modal').length){ // next part fecthes our actual offer there c...
