The issue I was running into on a scrolling text box was where you
actually place the text. You do not place it on the item in the form.
You have to place the text in the "Text Field" object. It is not as you
would assume it is. You have to copy your dialog data and paste it into
the Objects properties box that appears on the right of the application.
You will want to be on the Value Tab and place your text in the "default
box" It does not make much sense as to why they designed it this way and
Ok I might be missing somthing here. I have a form where I need my 11
locations to select their location. Once they do this they need to fill
out some info on the sub form that contains all their contact info. Once
they have filled out the data they need to e-mail it to the customer.
The customer needs to see the changed form. When I do a save as the
location selection sub form re appears and the customer would have to
select the location again for the data the employee entered to show up
Is there a way for the client to print all the data from a text box if
they want to?The client does not want to scroll through all the text to
read it.Do we have the option to give them a print button? Thanks.
I am a novice to Live Cycle Designer and have managed to figure a lot
out in the forums. However I am lost when it comes to how to make a
Subform visable and hidden via a drop down selections. I have read
several articles and tried to use some code I have seen. I even opened a
sample and tried to build off it and managed to mess that up too. So I
need to know two things. First where can I get some real instruction on
how to code the Java for this function. I need step by step since I have
Got it. It was where to put the text that was giving me issues. Thanksso

Steve,I think I see the problem. I need the text to be static on the
form. So that when the client clicks the Yes Interested they see all the
terms and conditions that I need them to see. I think everyone is
assuming that I need a scroll bar when they fill in the text box. This
is not the case I need it in a sub form that can be invisable till the
customer states interested then they can scroll through and read all the
terms and conditions. Every time I try to paste the verbiage in the text
That did not seem to work I added a text field then set the Allow
Multiple Lines. It however did not add a scroll bar. Your reply was the
same I have seen on the forums so I have no idea what I am doing wrong,
seem like a simple issue but I have been banging my head against the
wall for a full week with no solution.
I have a large amount of text for terms and conditions I want to add to
a subform. Is there a way to create a text box that with a scroll bar? I
want this option so that I can contain the text to one page. Also this
text box needs to be in a sub form so that it does not appear till a yes
response is selected from a radio button. Also is there a way to search
the forums for key word? I have tried several differnt search boxes and
they all seem to look at the entire web site.
That worked by just starting a new form I could get the subform function
to work. The orginal form I was working on was static and I guess saving
it as dynamic XML does not change it. Or at least it seems to not have.
Good news I was not that far into it. Easy rebuild on the form that is
not accepting the subform commands.Just wish I knew what I had done to
create the issue and how to correct it if I do it again. Dang ghost in
the machine.Thanks for your assistance.
It was saved as a Static, when I did the save as Dynamic it would not
allow me to say ok on the action builder. I could set the if then but I
am going to try just that action on a new form and see if I can get it
to work. If you have any other ideas throw them at me. Right now I am
stuck in the big mud bog of LiveCycleDesigner.
I ran into a issue where I can not get my subforms to work correctly.
Created placeholder, created two sub forms with only one text box in
each. Set both subforms to invisable, then set y axis to match
placeholder subform. Used action builders to show one sub form when
radio button is clicked. set placeholder and other subform to invisable.
Went to preview clicked radio button. Nothing appeared. I am clueless as
to what is wrong. Have done this before without issue.HELP!!!!!
