Re: DTM passing Data Element names into reporting

You can use a custom script to get around this.Replace obj.element with the value in the data element "path" input for the js object.Replace %dataElement.name% with the actuall name of the data element.return (obj.element && obj.element != "%dataElement.name%") ? obj.element : '';I tested this on my server and seems to work as intended.Brett

A few things to add: 1. Sharing alerts would be nice 2. Abiility to add alerts to calculated metrics. We need to be able to remove the daily flucuations or seasonal flucuations from the equation. 3. Alerts comparing data against this same time last week - accomplishes #2 in a different way.

Weekly granularity is by far the most used in my experience. It's be nice to have last 26 weeks and last 13 weeks as pre-sets. Thanks!

Temporary Passwords for Users
Avatar

When creating a new user, i'd like to see a check box to auto-generate a temporary password and include it in the intro email. There should also be an option, one click, to reset someones password and have an email sent with a temporary password. Admin's don't need a users password and shouldn't have anything to do with the process imo.

Can't you use SAINT to classify them into custom buckets? Have you looked into that? For the Return Frequency Report, you could use the "Days Since Last Visit" Plugin and classify that into custom buckets.

You can turn it off in the graphs by going to Favorites>>Report Settings and unchecking the box : Show "None," "Unspecified" and "Typed/Bookmarked" data in report graphs.

Filter Enhancement: Group Line Items
Avatar

Grouping results from reports would be extremely advantageous. As a quick, one-off substitution to SAINT classifying data, it would be nice to put many filters into play with custom names that show up as the line item in the report. As a quick example, use a domain report. site.domain.com 100site2.domain.com 500 site.domain2.com 300site2.domain2.com 200 Having two filters in play:Name: "domain" Matching anything that contains "domain.com"Name: "domain2" Matching anything that contains "domain2.c...

We currently do this but use an eVar to store the sites for segmenting. Pagenames and sections are just prepended with a site name identifier. Site: Pagename etc.

Running reports could be much faster if you could change mulitple report parameters at once. For example, instead of having to change the date and wait for refresh, change metrics and wait for it to refresh, change filter and wait for it to refresh, add segment and wait for it to refresh...why not give all the options in a form based format where you can change ALL the parameters you need to and then hit a submit button. That would save valuable time when generating the reports and make working w...

Email User Updates (Email Group, Email Preview)

Similar to the idea exchange wysiwyg, it would be nice to be able to preview messages before you send them. Right now, I send a test email to admins but I'm sure they would appreciate if I didn't. Also, with 200+ report suites, it would be nice to be able to hit only a certain group with emails. When I make some major changes to report suites etc, it would be nice to send them release notes.

Copy User to create new user
Avatar

In the "Manage" column for user admin, I would love to have an option to create a new user from the same settings as a current user. So in one click, I could create a new user in the same group and have the same dashboards. I know it's a fairly simple request but it would save quite a few clicks. Not to mention, I rarely create new users that have settings that someone else doesn't.
