The event itself was linked to our page load rule. It just fired the
success event if the page was the specified page name. I had to turn off
the events in our production environment. I'll have a look at the
historical data as you've suggested.
I'm in the same boat, having inherited an implementation where "Changed
Resources" lists about 60 rules, data elements, and extensions that have
non-live changes, and that I'm painstakingly cleaning up. Ability to
delete revisions that aren't live in production would be even better, so
that I don't have to go through the slow publishing queue.
It's a shame Adobe don't offer this out of the box but you can work
around it using the technique I describe here:
This question was about hour of day, but I'm sure you can adapt it for
day of week. Hope this helps, any questions let me know
@ashokadiylil - if you are looking to pass the MCID from a mobile app to
a website, but the query string parameter is getting lost due to
redirects there is nothing that can be done from an Adobe implementation
point of view. You need to work with the people responsible for the
redirects to either remove them, or to find a way to preserve the query
string parameter to the point at which you can use it.
In addition to this, it would be great if the actual "beacon sent" could
be fully controlled in Launch like it works for web. The app should just
send data to Launch, but the developer decides whether/when and with
what changes (mapping, etc.) to send it to AA (and other destinations).
The major inconvenience with apps is that every AA beacon change
requires app development. For the website it's much easier as the logic
can be configured in Launch itself. It would be great to have a similar
@Andrey_Osadchuk this would be really useful. Reminds me of something
similar I was trying to get across a couple of years ago...
If Adobe's listening, there's at least another six likes for this idea
right there 🙂
+1. I've just started using Launch after using other Tag Managers and
this is a large source of frustration. Having the current published
version indicated in all drop-down lists would be a huge benefit.
It's great that you can get from the "edit library" screen into a
rule/element to compare revisions. However, it is frustrating that when
you close the rule/element you lose the context and get kicked out to
the element/rules list rather than back to the edit library page. How it
currently works:Edit Library > view rule > compare revision > *close*
compare revision > *close* rule > rule list page 😞 How it should
work:Edit Library > view rule > compare revision > *close* compare
revision > *clos...
We discovered an issue (not a defect) with the Marketing Channels rules
which it would be great if it was sorted 🙂 2 factors are combining to
cause issues:Marketing Channels rules run on every metrics call (page
views and linking tracking)Not all properties are available on link
tracking metrics calls (e.g. pageName, URL, referring URL, query string
parameters etc.)As we have to rely on some of the properties that are
not available on a link tracking call to correctly ID a channel, we are
I would like to be able to centrally manage a rule/data element and have
the change automatically distributed across multiple properties. We are
managing several properties and have found that we have many common
rules/data elements. When we change how we want them to work we have to
manually edit each individually or do a lot of copying between
properties. I would envisage a separate area to manage these common
rules/data elements. Within each property, there would be an option to
add a central...
When you multi select data elements you currently have the option to ,
enable, disable, copy, and delete the data elements. Please can you
consider adding an option to edit the 'duration' across multiple data
element at a time? We recently had a situation where we wanted to alter
the duration on 50+ element, and although we could filter the list to
show them we had to go in to each individually to edit them which was
very time consuming.
Thanks @mesood, I realise it is possible to tag components from with in
the analysis workspace interface. But I specifically want to be able to
add/remove tags from within the VRS curation workflow so I don't have to
keep going back and forth - Unfortunately this isn't currently available
At the moment, if you change the name of a classification it breaks all
the associated classification rules built in the classification rule
builder. Each rule then has to be manually edited to get it working
again with the new classification name. I think it would make sense if a
classification name change automatically updated the classification rule
From my experience I would say says it's fine for Analysis workspace,
but be careful with Admin activities - I have had some issues in the
admin area of the tool running separate concurrent sessions (In
particular, some weird results with processing rules)
We would find it incredibly useful and time saving to be able to move
and copy actions between different rules in launch. I'd expect to access
the feature by via a clicking with right mouse button on an action to
reveal a menu with the options. Please can this be considered?
I was editing a segment on a workspace panel. After making a change I
realised it had broken my project. I thought "No problem, Adobe
introduce Undo in workspace, I'll just undo the change to my workspace
project!" - but unfortunately it doesn't work - half an hour then wasted
trying to remember/recreate the old segment 😞 It would be really great
if the undo function worked for all changes in a workspace project as
this really caught me out - please could this be considered? 🙂
When a project is shared as 'view only' users cannot change the date
range. I think an option to allow date range changes would increase the
usefulness of this mode while still balancing the need for control.
Without this flexibility I think there is the potential that this will
lead us to build bloated projects that are trying to guess at the
different date ranges that users might want to look at. For instance, if
we have a project showing 'last weeks sales', users would find it useful
to also ...
I just noticed, that I totally had not deleted a panel on my workspace
at some point today/last Friday. Possibility to revert, check older
versions would be appreciated as currently I can only rebuild.
To be fair since I created this post, Adobe have introduced Virtual
Report Suite (VRS) curation that can be used to hide entry and exit
versions of a prop. VRS curation is what we now use extensively in our
organisations to clean things up for our end users.
One additional point: it may be worth "seeding" the values using
Classification Importer (e.g., make a sheet with all of the values from
$1 to $100000 and upload it) rather than the Classification Rule Builder
approach. If you have decimals and are willing to forego that level of
precision, use Classification Rule Builder to discard the decimal then
"sub-classify" using Classification Importer as laid out here.
