@andrewGats thanks so much for this pattern. I feel this is not very well documented and this totally solved my issues.

Re: Ad Hoc Analysis Osx Mavericks problem jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
I was having the same exact problem - it happened with the latest Java 7 update. The only workaround I found was to uninstall Java 7 and re-install Java 6 using these guidelines: http://www.java.com/en/download/help/mac_uninstall_java.xml

Re: Hide Segments jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
Wouldn't you be able to manage this through user groups and only sharing segments with particular user groups?

Display segment named in dashboard reportlets jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
When a reportlet contains multiple segments (which is pretty much always for us now), the reportlet only displays "Multiple Segments" under the reportlet title. This makes it incredibly difficult to validate/QA/confirm what segments are being used within a dashboard reportlet. Understand the display limitations but even being able to hover over something to display the applicable segment names would go a long way!

yes please please please bring this feature back! Without the ability to upload Targets this feature is also useless for us.

Re: Targets tab-delimited upload jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
DEFINITELY! Targets are useless for us if we aren't able to upload. (Not about to manually input 5,000 data points that we want to track against)

Another simple enhacement that would be great is the ability to sort rules within the rule builder.

Short Links to SiteCatalyst Reports and Dates jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
When creating a short link to a report in sitecatalyst, did you that users can't change the date range? Neither did we.. because that sounds so ridiculous but is how it was designed. Let us change the date range - as we rely on these short URLs as shortcuts to report. Users getting access denied errors when changing the date range makes this completely useless.

SiteCatalyst Alerts Enhancements jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
There is much to be desired with Alert Management. Once an alert is created, it is hard to see what it is actually set to measure. There is no indication of what report the alert is even attached to.It seems like you can't set up an alert for a metric on a classified value. For instance, if you have a page type classification and want to set an alert for when a metric surpasses a threshold just for that classification, it seems like you can't do this. Or if you can, it doesn't get represented pr...

This is definitely a big one for us as some of our biggest KPIs are calculated metrics.

More than three Real-Time Reports per Report Suite jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
The real-time reports are awesome, but we would love to be able to create more than three at a time. Part of the issue is we have a large global suite looking at multiple sites and three is great but could be much improved.

omg yes. scheduled dashboards have become so unreliable for us that we have starting to build a whole other dashboarding platform.

Re: Allow Admins To Customize the Site Overview Dashboard & Push To All Users jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
This is a great idea - I always have to tell people to ignore the default screen because it doesn't apply to our implementation at all for the most part (we use a global suite and need to have certain segments applied to accurately see the data). A more general related solution would be to allow me to create a dashboard and push it to either specific users or user groups and automatically set it as their landing page en masse. (Not realistic doing this individually for 200+ users).

Re: Dashboard Search also for shared dashboards jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
My other request has been a better sort order for shared dashboards as well (instead of seemingly random)-- but this would be another way to get around the extreme difficulty of finding a shared dashboard.

Re: Ability to segment on matching/non matching evar values jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
A workaround (although non-scalable) would be to create segments with multiple eVar combinations (Visit where eVarX=Y AND eVarX=Z). But I could see this as being very useful.

Re: Organize Dashboards Alphabetically jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
Absolutely agree that having shared dashboards sorted by some logical order would make sense. It has become exceedling difficult to find Shared Dashboards as there is no folder-based organization available and the list has no logical order either (by name or by create date).

Re: Marketing Channel Overview - add Segmentation ability in v15 jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
Wanted to bump this one up as well. When using a global suite (and relying on segmentation), marketing channels is not very useful to us without allowing us to apply site-level segments.

Add previous period trendline to Discover charts jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
In SiteCatalyst, you can easily view a previous period trendline overlayed on top of a trended chart. However, this is not possible in Discover. I would like this option to be able to see WoW , YoY, or other arbitrary date comparisons in visual form.

This just surfaced for us as well recently-- would love to be able to do this without having to build something completely custom through the API.

Re: Group Bookmarks & Dashboards by Business Projects i.e. in same folders jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
Also, we need some organization to how dashboards are being sorted. I don't know who thought "random" was a good idea.

Re: Shared Dashboards: Audit and Admin Control jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
Additionally, it would be nice to set user group-level permissions on who has access to see certain dashboards. Not a fan how it is share to everyone or noone. In many cases I would only want a certain group to have access to a dashboard.

Hierarchy variables should work with dynamic variables jon_narong - Adobe Analytics
Unfortunately, it does not seem like you can use dynamic variables to populate a hierarchy variable. For instance, if you want to do this: s.hier1 = "D=gn" to automatically assign the pagename to a hierarchy variable (a common use-case), it cannot be done. Can we get this enabled so we can populate hierarchy variables like we would with eVars and props?
