The best logic to use is the following exemple in the PDF...https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz8yb5apn8y4a1RUY1R0R0RSbWs/edit?usp=sharingIt validate the whole form with exceptions fields if you need someThe script object validates every fields that are visible, and returns the name of the field that returns null to setFocus() on it.Try it! better than Adobe LiveCycle validation itself

In the preOpen event of the second dropdown list you put something like (in formCalc):if (dropdown1 == 1) then$.clearItems()$.setItems("Year, 2 Year, 3 Year")elseif (dropdown1 == 2) then$.clearItems()$.setItems("3 Year, 4 Year")endif

All,The solution was to create differents tables()MS ACCESS Table) for each type of training. I was basically using the same table on differents subforms in the same xdp file(kind of like different types of instances). I find it shameful Livecycle can't handle that properly and I have to create a different table each time.Anyway,that was the solution.

This is the route I'd go, no point in using a loop when you can set the count value explicitly.

Validation events are not meant for layout changes. You should put the script in a different event, since it is expected to only handled a return value of true or false.You may find this useful as it discusses adding or removing subforms in a flowable layout:http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/11.0/DesignerHelp/WS92d06802c76abadb11a7f71129b8b00825-7fb3.2.htmlsetting a subform's presence property to "hidden" will have a similar effect to using the instanceManager. it will depend which makes mor...

Hi Sandro Fischer and meem23, here is exactly what you guys need to do to make it work properly :1 - The page needs to be "Flowed".2 - Put your table into a "Flowed" subform3 - Check the Allow page break within content for both.4 - Your table must allow page break within content too.5 - Group your 2 Header as a section.6 - In the section's options, select "Include Header Row in Initial page" and "Include Header Row in Subsequent Pages".7 - Go into the Binding tab of the section, and select "Repe...

Thanks. The conclusion of my form was that the sum line + the show/hide condition don't work when assigned to the same field. So I assigned the condition whyisthisme to an invisible text field and now all works fine. Thanks for the help.

I won't do this, because you'll frustrate users if there is a message shown every time they enter a wrong format.Better you allow as many pattern as possible.Here's an explaination:http://thelivecycle.blogspot.de/2011/10/date-patterns.html

Sorry - I haven't used the "Submit Button."Here is the URL for the file. https://workspaces.acrobat.com/?d=66B5k8981-WUNHJB1epZXgThere are three challenges that remain. When I click on the "Click to Add Service Location" button on the bottom of page 2:I need to add an instance of "Service_Location_Page" on the following page. Currently, it is adding it prior to the page I just completed.I need the value of "Service_Address_Type" on page 2 to change from the default value of "Primary" to "Seconda...

Figured it out. Two simple problems.First, I wasn't using the && for and in my if statement. Second, I forgot to put .rawValue on something. So the corrected code looks like this:if (trainingCB.rawValue == "1" && (this.rawValue == "" || this.rawValue == null)) { xfa.host.messageBox("Training agenda required");}

There may be a better way but when I need to position things in a flowed form I use rectangles set with no border so they are invisible and put them where I need spaces.

Wow, I'm so stumped. I tried to copy a bit of formcalc into the exit event for my current date field to try to make this happen, but I can't get it to work.My attempt at scripting is embarrassing, but here it is:form1.sf1.CCSub.CCGroup.#subform[0].DateField2::exit - (FormCalc, client)form1.sf1.CCSub.CCGroup.#subform[0].NumericField2.rawValue = Date2Num(DateField1, "MM-DD-YY") - Date2Num(DateField2, "MM-DD-YY")and here's the file:https://www.dropbox.com/s/arkmnsxjkl4r156/AFBS_FacilitySpecialCareL...

Hi Wolfgang,You can define JavaScript functions within the click event, so maybe the code below is better?function canContinue(i){ if( i < 1 ) { // Check 1 xfa.host.messageBox( "i needs to be at least 1, but it is " + i ); return false; } if( i < 3 ) { // Check 2 xfa.host.messageBox( "i needs to be at least 3, but it is " + i ); return false; } if( i < 4 ) { // Check 3 xfa.host.messageBox( "i needs to be at least 4, but it is " + i ); return false; } return true;} if (canContinue(this.parent.INT...
