If you open the document using Acrobat, you should be able to export the form data as xml document. To be able to do the same thing when the document is opened using Adobe Reader- you will have to enable that capability using LC Reader Extensions Server Module. You CANNOT get that capability when you use Acrobat to extend features for Reader

Hi charisYes, your forms are designed in LC DesignerBut to enable your users to interact with the formsUsing Reader you need to Use LiveCycle Reader ExtensionsThis is a server product which is different from LiveCycle DesignerYou can add Usage Rights using Acrobat, but the usage rights applied from Acrobat are limited and you can only distribute forms to limited number of people. There are license restrictions on distributing forms which have usage Rights applied from AcrobatYou can email me you...

HiIf you want the end users to use Reader and be able to add attachmentsTo the form, you have to user LiveCycle Reader ExtensionsLooking at your use case, I think your organization should consider Adobe LiveCycle ESYou can find more info on adobe.com/productsIf you want we can setup a call to explain the features of LCThanks

yes, you will have to use CM API . One way to do it is build a component which exposes the CM API as service operations and use that component as part of your process.. If you install ES4 with CM and the demo package you will get CMSA component wich exposes the RenderLetter API. You can use this in yor orchestration to render a letter from CM by passing in the LetterTemplate Name and the xmlData.

When you open the PDF,you can import the data file.It is possible to combine two elements. You will have to use hidden fields to store the values and then concatenation the hidden field values and display them in the field of your choice

Looks like Livecycle pdfg module fits your needs perfectly. You have also said that this conversion of office files is just a small piece in the overall project. Why do'nt you consider Livecycle for the entire project.Livecycle is very powerful platform and most likely will satisfy our project needs
