Larry,1) Try moving the script to the drop-down exit event.2) xfa.host.ResetData effects the entire form. You will have to reset each individual rawValue to achieve your objective.Steve

Joe,You have come across some behaviour for the 'Calculated - User Can Override' Value property that you (and almost everyother user) would question. While I cannot explain it, I will share my observations. For a TextField with a Value proprerty of 'Calculated - User Can Override', Designer expects a script to be attached to the Calculate event. While you have attached script to the Calculate event, it appears that Designer is VERY picky about what the script does. It appears that a variable assi...

Sorry. I missed the proverbial forest for the trees.Tables do not behave like sub-forms. To dynamically add rows using the Instance Manager, you must use a sub-form. Take a look at the sample I attached.

That depends on whether or not you have already layed the objects on the form.If you have, you can 'lasso' the objects and select the Layout tool to align the objects horizontally (left or right). However, I am unaware of a way to align objects vertically with no gaps. You can use the arrow keys and your visually acuity to align the objects with no vertical gaps or you can use object Layout property sheet to set the X and Y coordinates of each object. If you are just laying out the form, consider...

Attaching files to a PDF can be accomplished in two ways, traditionally:1) Using Acrobat as a client.2) Adding a file attachment right to the PDF with LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES for Reader clients.A PDF Portfolio provides nice features for assembling various content types into a PDF as well. See the attached example.Your workflow requirements, the availability of LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES, and client base (Reader versus Acrobat) will determine what is possible for you.Steve

Hi Bob,This is not going to solve your problem but you have encountered two issues:1) The currently shipping version of Workbench is not officially supported on Windows Vista.2) There is a well-known bug in Eclipse 3.2.1 and the currently shipping version of Workbench uses Eclipse 3.2.1. The Eclipse org claims the bug is fixed in 3.2.2. The next release of Workbench uses Eclipse 3.2.2.Steve

Thomas,You cannot POST data directly to a LiveCycle process.Core services and custom processes, such as your GetFormXML, are accessed through endpoints. When you save and activate a custom short-lived process, three endpoints are automatically created - EJB, SOAP, and remoting. Additional endpoints include Watched Folder, Email, and Task Manager (for Workspace ES).For you simple example the easiest solution would be to add a WSDL data connection. In the data connection wizard point tohttp://loca...

If you are referring to the DataMatrix barcode symbology associated with the PaperFormsBarcode object, the formatting and content of the value encoded in a barcode depends upon the requirements on the 'back-office' side. In other words, a process consumes the data after the paper form is scanned and a barcode is decoded. You should map the barcode in the form to the data requirements in that process, whatever that process may be.The following custom script on a barcode calculate event will captu...

In the initialize event for the text field, add the following client-side JavaScript:this.rawValue = event.target.documentFileName;Note, when you preview the PDF in Designer you will see an odd file name like _13fs18f3v9eeb3qs.pdf. When the PDF is opened in Reader or Acrobat you will see the real file name.

To recap...Drop-down list - The drop-down list is part of a subform where a subform represents a page. Next and previous buttons are used to page up and page down through the subforms. The form was defined as a static form. Defining the form as a dynamic form resulted in the proper behaviour.Checkboxes - The form contains check boxes that are untitled. Untitled check boxes do not get a binding definition. Since the three check boxes in row 1 were all untitled there was no binding definition. Def...

Jim,This is likely a problem with the JDBC connection pool definition in adobe-ds.xml. Seehttp://blogs.adobe.com/livecycle/adobe_livecycle_es/and the entry for November 13, 2008 'LiveCycle - MySQL JDBC Data Source Definition for a Stable Environment'.A sample adobe-ds.xml file is available here.Steve
