Re: Form fragments AEM_Forum - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi Steve,I completely agree with you that we should put it in a template and use that template. But, I have 80 such templates. Please suggest a way of authoring header and footer once once and make sure that they propagate to all 80 templates?I do not want to author them 80 times, as the content is exactly the same!Form Fragments may be an answer, but I am missing the link. (Form Fragments may be created for each of header and footer, that could be dragged and dropped on to the template.)Could For...

Form fragments AEM_Forum - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi ,There are two types of form fragments requirements in my project:1. Header and Footer: Content authored once, but used in all forms. Not required to be re-authored.2. Common parts of a form: Here it has a set of form elements common in many forms, but content should not replicate. Every form should be presented only those fields with blanks (no values). Ex: Address. How to achieve both the above using a Form Fragment.Appreciate your reply.Thanks,Rama.

Re: Why do we need to use Forms Designer Tool? AEM_Forum - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi Khushwant,Thanks for responding.1. If we are taking the DoR route, we do not need Designer (XDP) or without that also we can achieve PDF Conversion?2. In Verify section also, we have a PDF conversion requirement. Will this necessarily require XDP?3. In the Submit options, we have a "Convert To PDF and Store" option. Will this necessarily require XDP and this option itself will not appear without we selecting XDP in the model?Appreciate your response.Thanks,Rama.

Re: AEM Forms Header and Footer AEM_Forum - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi Rishi,You mentioned "AEM Forms follow similar notion of creating templates as done in AEM Sites.".In AEM, if the template has iParsys, if I author header & footer to a page at a folder level, all the child pages underneath that page inherit those header and footer. But in Forms, where is the concept of parent page, iParsys, child page and all child forms inheriting all iParsys elements from parent? Thanks,Rama.

Re: AEM Forms Rules Editor AEM_Forum - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi Steve,Thanks for responding quickly. As long as this is just a drag and drop, Marketing people (Forms authors) will be able to do.I did JS coding, probably wrongly, to hide and show radio button panels and to hide all of them on loading. But what is the application of Code Editor in Rules Editor? When do we use it?In those cases, how do we ask Marketing people to code? Thanks,Rama.

AEM Forms Rules Editor AEM_Forum - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi all,I have seen that AEM Forms Rules Editor is very simple and easy to use.But in some forms, we need to write some Java Script code in the Code Editor, to hide and show some Radio button panels. In this context, is it a good system to create, given that Marketing people are required to know JS?Is there a solution to this problem, where we configure all these at the template level and ask marketing people to do these changes on the form, only if it absolutely required? My question, rather, is h...

Why do we need to use Forms Designer Tool? AEM_Forum - Adobe Experience Manager Forms
Hi all,Why do we need to use Forms Designer Tool for creating AEM Forms? In my project how to know whether to use it or not?My understanding is that if we need to create pixel perfect PDF file in the end from AEM Forms, we use it.Are there any other factors affecting this decision? Is it possible to create PDF files without creating XDP files using Designer?Appreciate your support.Thanks,Rama.

AEM LDAP Integration AEM_Forum - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi,In the case of AEM LDAP Integration,1. Will the users originally residing in LDAP be brought and stored in AEM necessarily or there is a way of still maintaining them in LDAP only?2. In Author instance, authors could be stored in LDAP. But in Publish instance, could the end users also be stored in LDAP? What is the general practice for it? If the end users are lacks in number, will it create performance issues in AEM, in case we choose to store all users in AEM?3. How about passwords? Will th...

Hi Martin,These URLs are technically very deep. They present scattered information of this subject and therefore, there is no continuity.A reader like me will not be able to understand the flow end to end.I am a solution architect and therefore, I can not go that deep. Also, most of my questions are not answered in these URLs. Ex: No-1, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19. Ex: I could not find any workflow you were referring in your video in these URLs.The last and forth URL (https://docs.a...

Re: AEM Portal Vs AEM Regular AEM_Forum - Adobe Experience Manager
Hi all,Let me qualify my requirement a bit more.It is the case in which AEM acts as a Portal server and hosts portlets from AEM and also from other sources.Let us consider two scenarios: 1. AEM acts as a Portal server and hosts portlets from AEM. 2. We deploy AEM as a Quickstart Jar and develop templates and components in a regular way.My question is for implementing the same functionality, which one takes more effort and by how much? Thanks,Rama.
