Are you allowed to convert TXT? As far as DOC, you need to have Word installed on the server.

Re: MS Word DOC -> PDF (CreatePDF2) - Adobe LiveCycle 20-11-2008
Restarted server, and I was able to convert. The problem may be with my DDX assembly, but not sure why a failure there would hose up any future conversions.

Further more, when I try to invoke this service from adminui, it fails there also, with Error Message: ALC-PDG-010-012-PDFMaker reported an error while printing the document.

MS Word DOC -> PDF (CreatePDF2) - Adobe LiveCycle 20-11-2008
So ... trying to convert a Word 2003 doc to a PDF. The funny thing is, it actually worked once, but now it does not, and I don't think I changed anything. Here is a snippet from my log. It appears to be telling it can't find the file. When I look in the L:\Temp\pdfg-Administrator\7b\0d4b-221b88-f15dbd-f3b83b-8f790b-832199 folder for the doc, it isn't there. Is it some kind of permissions issue?2008-11-20 10:33:38,750 INFO [com.adobe.pdfg.GeneratePDFImpl] ALC-PDG-001-000-Job ID for the submitted c...

Looking for an opinion. If you are a savvy Flex developer, would you develop all of your forms in Flex or would you still use XDP/PDF?

Oh, and I know I can read an external XML file using File Utilities, but wanted to know if where was a better/different way.

Load XML File From Repository - Adobe LiveCycle 19-11-2008
Assume you declare a process variable of type XML. Is it possible using the Set Value service to fill this variable with an XML file that is in the repository?I was thinking something like this might work, but it doesn't seem toLocation Expression/process_data/xml_data /Stuff/data/data.xml

Re: Populate User Dropdown - Adobe LiveCycle 08-11-2008
I guess I could query the database directly rather than trying to use the UserManager service.
