Re: Possible to decode base64 document contents to XDP? - Adobe LiveCycle 13-08-2009
Hi Ray,In your form if you have bound the webservice in Data View tab then you shuould be able to pass that token as part of the web service request data. By doing this you are putting the token as the form data so you might have to populate the value in a hidden text fields in the form and thus the value gets stored there but is not visible. To answer the base64 decoding issue, you may be able to decode the data via java api. Have a look at package com.adobe.idp.common.util.Base64 class in LiveC...

Re: StatusCode values for web service call? - Adobe LiveCycle 06-08-2009
Could you check what the value is for the process that actually has completed?

Re: Watched folder log - Adobe LiveCycle 06-08-2009
Hi,I thought of using file read->append text->file over-write functionality in a short lived process. This will work fine for creating a custom log file provided that you consider following:- This needs to be a short lived process or the database will grow a lot.- You should clear the log file after it reaches certain size or it will be too slow down the track.I've a sample lca which I created to achieve this and i'm happy to share. To do this logging properly I would suggest that you create a ta...

Re: Pros/Cons of embedding schema to form - Adobe LiveCycle 05-08-2009
Hi,How ever you can assign the schema to your xfaForm variable via workbench itself. So rather than loading the schema from the form it will be an upload via file system browsing.Based on the embedded schema the LC server was generating blank xml in form and render process on LC server was also passed a blank xml. Things have changed slightly in recent version(at least that's my observation).regards,Parth

Re: Maintaining state within a PDF document - Adobe LiveCycle 04-08-2009
Hi Ray,If you are rendering the form via livecycle server then this shouldn't be that bad. When an xdp file is rendered (template and data xml being merged) it still holds your schema binding. In your workflow if you have a process variable that holds the form then drilling down into the xml field via xpath expression and updating it with setValue component should change the state in data xml.And the next time the rendering happens it should show you the form in that state.regards,Parth Pandyaht...

Re: Secure submission of XML data - Adobe LiveCycle 03-08-2009
Hi,you can get the form data via calling xfa.data.saveXML(). This will return you the xml data for the form. I think after that you should encrypt it via some custom algorithm before sending the encrypted text as part of email.hope it helps!regards,Parth Pandyablog: http://blog.pandyaparth.com

Re: Set XML attribute from SetValue using Xpath - Adobe LiveCycle 31-07-2009
Hi,I think you have put correct options. Here are my preferences in easier to harder order.4. Dont use attributes, only use elements2. Create the ID attribue ahead of time, and just leave it blank ( This has to be done outside of orchestration or you'll be back to square one) (But you can always use option 3 for this to make it simpler)3. Do the manipulation and coerce to xml1. Use a dsc to do xml manipulation. I know XSLT can do this but I find XQuery component much easier to do xml manipulatio...
