Duplicate Versions of Published Page - Adobe Experience Manager 28-04-2017
Hi all,One of my QA testers has advised me that whenever they go to publish a page through workflow ("accelerated" workflow that the Dev team built for this project), it will create duplicate versions of the page. I confirmed this by seeing two versions that are time stamped with the exact time, but with different version numbers (re: 1.60 and 1.61, but with the same timestamp). It's also worth noting that they've created a "Create a Version" for authoring/testing purposes.I've never encountered...

Re: [AEM 6.3 Release] Announcing the Release of Adobe Experience Manager 6.3!! - Adobe Experience Manager 27-04-2017
I just read the article...pretty exciting stuff!I love the new Content Tree feature, that'll be great for authors to quickly find components to edit them (rather than try to find them on the page, especially if they're hidden). Also, did anyone catch the announcement that Adobe is doing away with Classic UI in April 2019?

Re: Authoring Best Practices - Adobe Experience Manager 27-04-2017
A couple of points from a long-time author:1) I'm aligned with what Scott and Jorg said about using components versus adding HTML (which defeats the purpose of using a CMS). Using the components will allow your authors to be able to author content much faster.2) In regards to creating components, I would sit down with your Functional team to assess how many components that you will need, and whether or not you can consolidate a lot of the functions that you need into a couple. I'm in the camp of...

Re: [New] Welcome to AEM Community! Please Introduce Yourself - Adobe Experience Manager 26-04-2017
Hi everyone,My name is Jessie Louthan, and I'm an AEM Business Analyst/Author. I've been using AEM since CQ 5.0, having come from a digital marketing/automotive journalism background (non-tech related, I remodelled homes for most of my life, and was involved in other industries as well). Most of my experience is split between being an Author and a BA. I've worked for several major companies and agencies, and I'm currently residing in Seattle (Bellevue) WA. I've been a part of this community for a...

Remove Out of the Box Components - Adobe Experience Manager 06-03-2017
Is it possible to remove the out of the box components if we're not going to use them? Would removing them impact AEM in anyway (in a negative sense)?

Re: Got an 500 Error Code When Deleting User Accounts - Adobe Experience Manager 10-02-2017
Yes, I'm one of the Admins (and I'm on the Admin account). There's more to the error code, but that's pretty much it.I'll have my SD take a look at the permissions. I also wonder if it's a case of deleting the anonymous account...I say that, because in 6.1, I wasn't able to delete it for some reason. Just a thought.

Got an 500 Error Code When Deleting User Accounts - Adobe Experience Manager 09-02-2017
So, my Senior Developer just did a clean install of 6.2 for our Sandbox environment (while we wait for the Dev environment to get up and running).I went in and started deleting the User accounts...while I was doing that, I got an 500 Error Code (see below). Thoughts?Error while reading cached library: javax.jcr.LoginException: Login Failure: all modules ignoredCannot serve request to /libs/granite/core/content/login.html in /libs/granite/core/components/login/login.jspException:java.io.IOExcepti...

Re: Rights less than administrator even when user is added to administrators groups - Adobe Experience Manager 24-01-2017
I've had this same issue as well (although we currently only have a sandbox environment).I had to remove the user(s) from the groups, one by one, until their rights were restored, but that doesn't really solve the issue.

Re: Sidekick is blank- AEM 6.2 - Adobe Experience Manager 24-01-2017
Would it make sense to only show the components that are compatible for each template? What about a basic template (default, can be used on any page)?I would prefer to limit the number of components shown, so that authors can quickly locate the desired component. How do you go about doing this?
