Re: Numeric Field Display - Adobe LiveCycle 23-03-2005
Well is my face RED! I've been making the pattern change to the "Edit Pattern" value thinking it was there to update the standard formats offered in the "Display Pattern" value. I didn't realize you could change the "Display pattern" value itself! What a waste of time for something so simple. Can I chalk this one up to NEWBIE-NESS? Thanks for your response David. It prompted me to look harder at the field properties again. BTW: What does the "Edit Pattern" value do? Other than drive newbies craz...

Numeric Field Display - Adobe LiveCycle 23-03-2005
I think I've run into a bug with Designer. Can anyone confirm this? Or have I overlooked something?Situation:I have 5 numeric fields* in my form that use simple FormCalc calculations. All of them have the Object Field Display Pattern set as $z,zz9.99.All calculations work perfectly. However, when I was testing the form I discovered something quite odd. The display is perfect until the dollar amount exceeds $9,999.99. Once over this amount the format disappears leaving just the correct result (e....

Re: Radio button opens another PDF or hidden page - Adobe LiveCycle 22-03-2005
Thanks for responding Sanna. Following your suggestion, I created a subform called "Requisition" with the presence property of hidden. This subform is physically located on a second page (which I can't seem to hide either!).If the user clicks on the checkbox field "DecisionYes" then this subform should become visible. So far, using all of the examples given in this forum and in the on-line help manual, I have not been able to get it to work.Do you have any further words of wisdom? Thanks again. ....

Re: Reset Button Exclusion - Adobe LiveCycle 18-03-2005
Major apologies. I didn't explain what I wanted clearly enough. I'll attempt it again. In a form of 50 fields, 49 fields should be cleared when the RESET button is clicked. The 50th field should be excluded from the reset action.

Reset Button Exclusion - Adobe LiveCycle 17-03-2005
Designer 7.0 provides this JavaScript code automatically when you choose the standard 'reset button' from the Library -- xfa.host.resetData();The Calculations & Scripts manual indicates you can add the fields, separated by commas, of all the fields to be reset (included). Is there a way to just list the fields to be excluded instead? I only want to exclude 1 field in a form containing over 50 fields. If I understand the manual correctly, I must enter 49 field names in the parameter so I can excl...

Re: Auto fill system date - Adobe LiveCycle 17-03-2005
The script in the field is still running perfectly. However I've run into a bit of a snag. When someone hits the RESET button is it possible to exclude this field (or any field) from that action?

Auto fill system date - Adobe LiveCycle 11-03-2005
I'd like to be able to have the system date (YYYY MM DD format) automatically fill in a date field. Also this data should stay fixed if the PDF is saved. For example, the user fills in the form and saves a copy with the system date of that day. However when the user re-opens the PDF next week the original system date should still be there (not replaced by the current system date). Can any provide me with the code to do this? Thanks.

Radio button opens another PDF or hidden page - Adobe LiveCycle 11-03-2005
I have a cost estimator form that requires the user to fill in a number of fields that returns a total cost. Once these fields are completed the user will have two options.1) User understands and agrees to the costs. This option then should open another PDF or a hidden second page (which is the actual requisition).2) User doesn't agree to cost. This option asks if the form is to be printed -- if yes, then print and close -- if no, closes form.I haven't been able to find any JavaScript or XFA to ...
