Reset floating field - Adobe LiveCycle 13-05-2009
I have a static text paragraph with two floating fields. When the filler clicks on the RESET button it clears all the other fields except the text from the floating fields.In addition to the default JS on the reset button object (xfa.host.resetData();), I tried this JS on the reset button but no impact: xfa.host.resetData("xfa.form.form1033.P1.floatCoName");

Re: Accessibility on a text object - Adobe LiveCycle 13-03-2009
Thanks Paul, but I am familar with adding accessibility text to an object. I just wanted to know how the screen reader works on a text object (not a text field object).Does it ignore the text object? Or does it read the text in the object? Or do I have to copy the text into the "custom text" section under the accessibility tab?I'm hoping for the first option since I have hundreds of fields on this particular form and to copy the text into the custom field is doubling the work, and worthless if t...

Accessibility on a text object - Adobe LiveCycle 12-03-2009
Can someone tell me how accessibility works for the text object please?Does the screen reader ignore the object? Or does it read the text contained in the field? Or do you have to copy the text into the "custom text" field under the accessibility tab?

Re: Transparent borders or fill - Adobe LiveCycle 11-03-2009
I did try the option of having the border fill with the colour black on exit but the whole checkbox filled with black instead. Niall, these are great ideas, but regrettably they dont work in this particular application.It was a nice wish to continue highlighting the active field but this time it just isn't going to work. The form I'm building has a large number of tables with rows of text and columns of checkboxes (non-captioned). In Acrobat this was easy... with LiveCycle not so much!Thanks for...

Re: Transparent borders or fill - Adobe LiveCycle 06-03-2009
Thanks Paul but unfortunately that doesn't work for this application. It's for a "non-captioned" checkbox inside a table. All I want to do is continue to have the active field highlight in pale-yellow. I've got all my other fields (text, numeric, radio buttons, etc) all working. I just can't get the background of the checkbox to turn yellow on enter, and transparent on exit (AND not mask out the lines of the table).Any ideas? Suggestions?

Transparent borders or fill - Adobe LiveCycle 06-03-2009
Is there an equivalent to Acrobat's "f.fillColor=color.transparent;" that you can use in LD?

Custom Library Objects - Adobe LiveCycle 02-03-2009
I just completed installation of CS4 (ES 8.2), and discovered the custom library objects I created in CS3, along with a template, were not listed anymore.Are these retrievable now (if yes, where are they please?), or am I destined to re-create them all again????

Keeping a field visible - Adobe LiveCycle 06-02-2009
Is this a bug? I have a form that has a lot of HIDDEN fields that are made visible when certain criteria are met. This function is working perfectly. Initially!However when the form is submitted by e-Mail (either PDF or XML) or saved as, all of these fields become HIDDEN again... even though the criteria is still there. It becomes necessary to deselect and reselect the various objects to make the fields and their data visible again.Or am I missing something? Is there a method to lock a field dow...

Making hidden subforms visible on radion button click - Adobe LiveCycle 05-02-2009
I have a very complex form where initially the user has 4 options to choose from. When the user selections an option the applicable HIDDEN subform is made visible. (Please note: Once an option is made and data has been entered, the user cannot select another option.)When the user has completed the necessary fields they click on a submit button that attaches the completed PDF to an e-mail message (in our case OUTLOOK). This PDF is then sent to their management.What has happened is that when the m...
