Visitor Click Map - Adobe Analytics 10-03-2016
Hi everyone,I hope you're all good. I regularly receive questions regarding the Visitor ClickMap Overlay Plugin. This is a tool a tend to avoid myself, but other teams seem to have a taste for it. Our ClickMap was implemented before my time, but ObjectID appears to be being set (using the URL), however, despite this overlays do often seem to have a mind of their own and clicks often appear lower than I'd expect in the tool.I have some questions about ClickMap and would generally like to get a se...

Report Builder Site Metrics bug? - Adobe Analytics 05-01-2016
Hi,I've noticed when using report builder, a glitch in the Site Metrics report.I have created a monthly report which runs off a fixed date range: 01/03/2015 - 29/02/2016. The intention being that each month, the overall figures will automatically increase cumulatively, so users will get a running total each month. However, I have noticed that when the end date is later than "todays" date, this seems to confuse report builder and throws up an incorrect value. For example:If I run a site metrics rep...

Calculated Metrics not appearing in report builder - Adobe Analytics 18-12-2015
Hi Forum,We've recently created a new report suite. Since then, any new calculated metrics created in this suite aren't appearing in report builder (all other data in unaffected). I've created metrics in Ad Hoc Analysis and Adobe Analytics. These two platforms seem to be sharing them fine. Is there something I've not done to make them show in report builder?Any help would be hugely appreciated.ThanksToby

Entry Pages Page Views - Adobe Analytics 15-10-2015
Hi,I was recently running an Entry Pages report with a hit segment for a tracking code. Whilst doing this, I noticed that the Page Views metric in the Entry Pages report was producing the same total as the Page Views metrics in the Tracking Code report with the same segment. My understanding is that Tracking Codes persist for the whole visit even when using a hit segment - so does this mean that the Page Views metric in the Entry Pages report provides the total pages viewed during the whole visit...

Duplicating Reports in Report Builder - Adobe Analytics 15-10-2015
Hi,I'm building a dashboard in Excel using report builder. I need to create a large number of report builder reports that are very similar (same search parameters, etc). Is there a way to duplicate report builder reports to save having to recreate them all from scratch? Thanks Toby

Re: Referrer Segment - Hit or Visit? - Adobe Analytics 15-10-2015
Brian Au wrote... Hi Toby, Yes you can use a hit based container to isolate the page views for a specific referrer(s). You are correct if you use a visit container that will pull in the entire session where at least one part of it match the referrer criteria at any point in time. >>> http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/reference/reports_referring_domains.html The referrer, referrer type, and referring domain are set on the first hit of the visit, or during a visit when the referrer is ex...

Referrer Segment - Hit or Visit? - Adobe Analytics 15-10-2015
Hi,I recently read an article [here] explaining that when segmenting Tracking Codes in Adobe Analytics, a Hit container could be used to avoid the report dragging in additional tracking codes used during the same visit. This is due to the s.campaign variable persisting throughout a visit even when set to Hit.I wanted to know if this is the same for segmenting Referrers / Referring domain. i.e. if I use a Hit container for a specific referring URL, will that allow me to measure that referrer agai...

Context Data Audit - Adobe Analytics 15-10-2015
Hi everyone, I am looking to audit all of the custom context data variables being collected on my site as I don't think all are being passed into props, vars or events. I want to know if there is a quick and easy way to display a list of all custom context data variables in Adobe Analytics other than using the Processing Rules drop down menu. Thanks Tobz

sProp purge - Adobe Analytics 15-10-2015
Hi,I'm currently working on an implementation update and working through a new SDR and deciding where to use sProps and where to use eVars.I wondered if anyone can find a reason (other than for pathing) why it would be preferable to use an sProp over an eVar set to expire on hit. My logic being that an a hit expiring eVar will provide all of the same traffic metrics (Page views, visits, uniques), plus additional on page success events i.e. PDF Downloads, Button clicks etc and more break down opt...
