I am speculating here but I think that the credentials are being cached and as you have not authenticated correctly the credentials are blank and that is what is being used the 2nd time. When the Reader is closed the cache gest cleared and hence it works the next time. Sounds like a bug to me. Have you opened an incident with Adobe Support?Paul

Save the undistributed form out of Designer as a PDF. Open it in Acrobat. If using Acrobat 10 do a File/SaveAs/Rader Extended PDF and choose the 3rd option Enable Additional Features. In earlier version it is under Advanced/Extend Features in Adobe Reader. Take all of the defaults in teh wizard. After it is complete save the file to your desktop ......I like to add _RE to the end of the filename so that I know that this is the Reader Extended version (i.e filename_RE.pdf). This is the file that ...

I created a simple sample for you. Note that the code that shows and hides is on th eexit event of the DDLists. I put the parts of teh Proof of Address into a subform and I only have to hide the subform to hide all of its child components ...I do not have to hide each individual component of the Proof of Registration object. Also the form must be saved as dynamic for the presence changnes to take effect.Hope that helpsPaul

Not without scripting .....you can turn the date chosen into a javascript date object and then there is a js function that will return you the day of the week for that particular date. Paul

The Date2NUm function will return you the number of seconds that have elapsed since the epoch so you will need to compare it to the number of seconds that have elapsed from the epoch for 07/01/2011 ....so if (Date2Num(form1.#subform[0].Table1.Row2.date1.formattedValue, "MM/DD/YYYY") >= Date2Num("07/01/2011", "MM/DD/YYYY))thenPaul

That explains it ...the distribute form functionality adds a section to your template and will use the email address that you have registered in acrobat.com as the reciever. Do you have the original version of the form before you did the distribute?Paul

When you click in a signature field the flow of events is:Pre_sign event fires User gets signature dialog and signsPost Sign event firesThere is no means to programmatically remove a signature so your only option to stop the signing is on the PreSign event. After that the user woudl have to right click on the signtaure and choose Clear Signature.Hope that helpsPaul

Niall's way wil lwork but this one might be easier.Acrobat has a "dirty" flag that gets set each time a change is made to the doc. This is what tells Acrobat that you need to do a save when you quit. You can test this flag yourself. To access it use:event.target.dirtyThis will return true if a change has been made and false if no changes have been made. Note that if someone enters data into a field and then deletes that data the flag will still be true as a change was deemed to have been made.Pa...

Avatar

You have two choices:1. You can have the form communicate with the database directly. This would mean that the user must be on the same network as the database server. If it is not then this cannot be done this way. So think of applications that are internal to your network. If this is the case you will need LiveCycle Reader Extensions server to Reader Extend the form to allow database interactivity.2. You can submit the data from the form to a web server program and have the program update the ...

What if you put a for loop in and processed it that way ...something like this:for (i=0;i<=number of com fields;i++){ if (xfa.resolveNode("Page1.Com" + i).rawValue != null){ txtComments.rawValue += xfa.resolveNode("Page1.Com" + i).rawValue + ", "; }}This woudl loop through all of the com fields, check to see if they have a value and if so then add them to the txtComments field.Paul

Avatar

The calculate event is "special" and is setup to return whatever the script on the event does back to the caller (in your case the field). So if you add a $.rawValue to the end of your script it will return the current value of the field and all shoudl be good. Note that if you used a different event then this woudl not happen as Calculate is the only event that operates this way.So your script shoudl be:$.access = "protected"$.rawValueHope that helpsPaul
