remove processing rules certification requirements - Adobe Analytics 09-04-2014
Currently in order to gain access to Processing Rules, you must become certified. The logic of this is that data can be changed so Adobe wants to ensure you know what you are doing. However, I find that this is a pointless hoop to jump through, given thata) I've taken the test and am certified. Most of the questions on the exam have little or nothing to do with what you can actually do within Processing Rulesb) The Processing Rules are extremely limited in what they can do to begin with,c) More ...

Re: Export Report Suite settings - including variables, classifications, and success events - Adobe Analytics 09-04-2014
The API does provide information for the classification settings. Of course it's not "user friendly". But it is more or less "programmer friendly." That's why you should have a programmer make it "user friendly" since "user friendly" is objective and therefore left up to you to decide what format works best for you.

expose hierarchy vars (hierX) to the API - Adobe Analytics 09-04-2014
Currently through the API you can get information about: - props- events- eVars- list vars But you can't get any information about hierarchy vars (e.g. hier1). I understand that you should not be able to change (SaveXXX) the settings, since this is something enabled by ClientCare, but you could at least expose the current settings for them (e.g. ReportSuite.GetHierVars) so that we can see which one(s) have been enabled for a report suite

Re: Allow for multiple values in SAINT - Adobe Analytics 31-07-2013
Perhaps I misunderstand your request, but you can already sub-classify things. Granted, it's a little limited, but perhaps it will suit you? When you go to create classifications, you can do like Variable> a>> aa>> ab>b And the template will look like this: Key a a^aa a^ab b This doesn't really allow for arbitrary amount of values..but perhaps it might help a little? Yeah..probably not.

Re: Make a real deployable SAINT Campaign Management Tool - Adobe Analytics 31-07-2013
@benjamingaines: basically it's a matter of enforcing consistency. If you have a lot of 3rd party vendors or departments or people in general creating campaign codes, ideally you want to enforce a format standard, as well as a centralized place showing a history of creation. Having a system like this would make it much easier to get consistent values in reports, especially concerning SAINT classifications. My company has already developed a tool for doing exactly this, since it is a common issue...

Re: Better ability to sync SAINT classifications across multiple rsids - Adobe Analytics 31-07-2013
adamhaining: what worse is that the Admin/ReportSuite API is supposed to allow you to create/edit classifications for variables, but it is bugged. Basically it works for editing exisiting columns, but not removing or adding. So I couldn't even use the API as a full workaround for bulk rsid maintenance of SAINT classifications; all I can use it for is getting a list of the classifications and then manually change the offenders through the web interface (I have submitted the API bug to ClientCare ...

Re: Duplicate SAINT files across report suite - Adobe Analytics 31-07-2013
I agree that creating an FTP acct and uploading it there is a workaround, but you should also be able to select multiple rsids in the web interface.

Better ability to sync SAINT classifications across multiple rsids - Adobe Analytics 31-07-2013
Basically, I cannot select multiple rsids and edit SAINT classifications for xyz variable unless the classifications for xyz variable are the same for all the selected rsids. This makes it really hard to change classifications across rsids, especially since there's no easy way to tell which rsids don't line up. So far I have found that the easiest way to figure this out is to use the Report Suites API to get a list of classifications for all rsids so I can see them all one screen and single out ...

Re: Change where the red "warning" popup appears when making changes to variables - Adobe Analytics 31-07-2013
also sometimes it shows up cutoff. Dunno if it is because of position on page or with certain browsers (I've seen it in FF and Chrome). I have to click save again in order for the popup to fully appear.

Re: Schedule SAINT exports - Adobe Analytics 31-07-2013
DataWarehouse will let you do a regularly scheduled export to an ftp or email location. It's not as convenient as being able to schedule a recurring export from SAINT (main thing is that it doesn't include the template header, so you'll have to get that separately and keep it up-to-date), but it's a doable alternative.
