Howard,You need to setup an email endpoint for the Complete Task operation of the Process Management service. That's the service that will complete the task. The email settings from adminui (under Process Management) are just used for notifications.Jasmin

Can you just give me a bit more information about your process. Do you have a submit button on the form that sends an email back to LiveCycle.Have you setup an email endpoint to one of your process? What are the endpoint variable mapping settings?Do you email the PDF, XDP or XML data?Jasmin

I'm not sure I understand the issue properly. If you select the "Initialize task with route name" option under Routes and Priority, then you should see the name of the route that goes to the end of the gateway in the workspace interface. If that really doesn't work, then you can add an intermediate "Decision Point" service and have a route go from the User service to that Decision Point. Then have the Decision Point go to the end of the gateway.Let me know if I misunderstood the issue.Jasmin

The Gateway element sends the item in parallel and they each get a copy of the Form variable for the duration of their branch. Once the split is completed it'll update the main process Form variable with the content from the last branch that was complete. Right now, there is not built in functionality that will combine the three instance of the Form variables from the three branches back into the main process. You'll need to do that manually using a SetValue operation.I would store the comments ...

So you need to make sure you use *.* for the right variable type.If your variable fileName is of type string, then *.* won't make sense since it won't be able to put the whole file into a string. You need to put the *.* to Variable and not Literal. Literal will only give you the literal value that you type. You're basically putting *.* in the variable called fileName. Your process is then looking to load a file with the name *.* which is wrong. Can you give me a list of your IN process variable wi...

You dont need to buy another qpac to do that. Go under the Attachments and Notes section on the User operation. Select the option Copy all notes and attachment from and then specify a list variable that contains the attachments.Add a set value operation to be the first step in your process and use xPath to add the image from the image variable to the list using something like /process_data/myList[1] = /process_data/@myImageVarJasmin

I just created a similar application from scratch. I created a new process with only 1 user operation. Then created two variables 1 document and 1 xfaForm. Set the document variable to be IN.The created a watchfolder end point and it all worked.Im starting to wonder if there was a problem with your installation.Jasmin

You have two IN/Required variables: initForm and IN but seems that you're only dropping one file in the watch folder (by looking at the watch folder settings). That would create a problem since it expects two.Remove the "in" and "required" property of the initForm variable and see if that gets you through.Jasmin

You need to make sure what you submit from the PDF. The submit button can submit XDP, XML, PDF. You can check from the properties of the submit button on your xdp.Once you know what you submit, you need to make sure the input variable matches what you submit. In your case it looks like your submitting the whole pdf back to the servlet since you get a coercing error trying to put it into a xfaForm variable.Try to make your input variable of type "document" instead.Jasmin

The retry should send it to the new (updated) user.I ran a quick test here where I didn't assign user to my user step. At this point it stalled. I added a valid user to that user step and hit the retry button from Process Management/Stalled Operations (from adminui) and the task was sent to the updated user.I'm not sure what went wrong in your case, but this should work.Jasmin

Now for Scenario 2:I think you were on the right track with adding a filter. I implemented your logic and I'm getting the same results as you, where all the tasks are being forwarded. The reason is that for every instance of that task (Task B ), it creates an event listener that listens for an event of type TaskForward. So all tasks instances are basically listening at that point. When you forward you item a TaskForward event is sent and all tasks are catching it. That's why you need to add a fil...

For Scenario 1:The process will be terminated because when you catch the TaskCreated event, it will execute all the operation in sequence within the same branch. It doesn't create a separate branch when you draw a route from the TaskCreated event to your script operation. My suggestion is to create a separate process an use the "Start Point" option when you add the TaskCreated event. This way you'll ensure that you have a separate branch when you catch the event and won't interrupt the main proc...

The default Render will ONLY work with PDF.If you want to use an XDP, you'll need to use the RenderPDFForm operation from the Samples - Forms service or build your one render process.I understand the confusion with it this though. I'll pass the comments to product management.Jasmin

Ok,You need to configure a Submit service on your variable it you want to submit.I suggest you select the Submit PDF Form service from the Sample - Forms category. Then set the Service Input to the following:document to task -> Submitted Contentenvironment Buffer to task -> environmentBuffertargetURL to task -> targetURLuserAgent to task -> userAgentThat should get you going.Jasmin

You can only assign task to user that are known by the LiveCycle User Manager. When you configure LiveCycle, you can tell it where you want to get the users from. They can be created them locally in the local database, or synchronized from an LDAP directory in which case it'll read the users from LDAP and make a copy of some of the properties to the internal LiveCycle database.Bottom line, all users have an id (in the edcprincipalentity table) in the adobe database. If you need your users to come...

Like I said in anther post. Create yourself another process variable in the process you invoke and will contains the PDF. By creating a separate process variable it'll create a new database column with the content of the variable.Jasmin
