What client are you guys using. Is it possible that you are using Acrobat and the other person is just using Reader? In that case you might have to Reader Extend the form using the Reader Extension service to give the Reader users more functionality.Jasmin

That look good. Can you try to save your XDP as a dynamic PDF and point to that PDF within the xfaForm variable and see if that works better. I suspect something wring with the way your xdp was saved.Jasmin

Ok. Everything looks good so far. I just did a quick test here. I created a new PDF form with Designer. Added a few fields and a submit button and saved it as dynamic PDF.Create a new process and a variable of type Document Form and pointed to that PDF in the repository. That worked for me.Have you changed any settings under Advance Settings for the Document Form variable, more specifically around the submit service? Can you try with another simple PDF form (few fields and a submit button) to see...

First, try to recreate the workbench connection to the server and give it a new name.If that doesn't work, you might have to re-install workbench. You won't loose any work since all the data is stored in the database. It's just a matter of re-installing the client application.Jasmin

The LiveCycle Forms service gives you that ability. If you look at the processFormSubmission operation, in the output section, there Attachments parameter that gets you the attachments. The Assembler service can also do it, but then you have to build a DDX to extract the attachments.Jasmin

Are you sure your querying the right node? I could be different depending of the binding. The best thing would be to use the Variable Logger (under Foundation) to log the content of the variable in a file and inspect the content to make sure the data file is what you expect. If you don't see all the data in there, then we'll focus around the form design. At least we know you xPath statement is fine :).Jasmin

I'm back to my original question. I think something is wrong with your submit button. Can you verify that the button is in fact of type submit. Click on the button in Form Designer and check under Object and make sure the control type is of type Submit. Also make sure the first step in your process is set to be the Start step (you'll see a green arrow). Are you using a xdp or a pdf? Which render service are you using to render the form in workspace?Jasmin

Can you tell us how you specify the "Send With Document" parameters?Do you add attachments? Are they of type document? What about the other properties. It looks like that one of the parameter is not the right type.Maybe it's that gmail smtp server. I've never used it.Jasmin

If you submit a PDF you need to export that data to get to it. If you email back xml or xdp, then obviously you can just parse the attachment to get the data.Jasmin

First a little bit of theory on LC Forms. The Forms service essentially take a template (XDP) and data (XML) and merge it together to create an output (PDF, Form Guide, HTML, etc). Now the xml that corresponds to the data need to follow a certain structure to merge properly with the template. This is defined when you create your XDP by either choosing a schema or to ensure the XML matched your XDP structure. Now, when you define the Sample- Forms/RenderPDFForm Service parameter, you pass the Form ...

Ok, let's try this:Save your form as a Adobe Dynamic XML Form (*.pdf).Close Form Designer. Re-open the PDF and then save as Adobe XML Form(*.xdp).The use that XDP in a xfaForm variable in workbench.Let me know,Jasmin

Nico,I have copy/pasted your XML into a file and created a process that reads the file from the file system, put the content into an XML variable and then use /process_data/xmlvar/data/formList/anyform[2]/name to put the name in a string variable and I do get "form 2".Are you sure you're xml variable is populated properly? Can you put a variable logger before your SetValue to double check the content of the variable?Jasmin

Kim,Would you, by any chance, have more than one form variable that are IN. You need to make sure you have only one form variable of type IN since there can be only one form being rendered in Workspace. If you have more that one, then it may pick the wrong one.The form is going to be rendered before your initial step in your processes (depending of the IN variables) so I don't think the problem is with your initial step's configuration.Jasmin

If you go under Tools/Options in Form Designer, make sure the Default File Type for New Forms is set to Dynamic XML Form. This will ensure the new forms you create will be dynamic. If the form is already created, you can go under File/Form Properties/Default , under Server and check Override Default Rendering and make sure the PDF Render Format is set to Dynamic.Jasmin

If I understand properly, you are sending an email with a PDF attached to it to a process that has an email endpoint. Let me know if that's not the case.If that's the case then, create an IN variable (in the process that has the email endpoint) of type "document". Then in your email endpoint configuration under the Input Parameter Mappings section, set that variable to *.*. This will put any attachment in the variable of type document. Now, once you're in the process, you can use the Form Data In...

What Howard proposed should work. I've used it many times. Can you try the following xPath:get-collection-size(/process_data/myform/..etc../complexitem) to make sure you get more than one element and store that in an int variable. Also remember xPath is 1 based, so your loop should start from 1 to the size of your collection.Jasmin
