It makes sense the form doesn't contain any data because you read it from the repository and at that point the form is blank. Here's what I think you should do.Create a variable of type "Document Form". This is a more appropriate data type to hold the pdf. Make sure it's of type IN. Browse to your PDF in the repository to set the URL.The other thing you need to make sure is that the submit button on your form submits the whole PDF and not just the data. Using LiveCycle Form Designer make sure the...

Can you post your xml variable? You should be able to use xPath to get to the data you want. Post your data and I'll give it a try.Jasmin

The uri from the repository is simply the folder structure where the form is located. For example "/MyFolder/MySubFolder/MyPDF.pdf"Using xPath you just get the value of the variable. If you specify /process_data/RealEstateForm you would get the value of a variable called RealEstateForm. But ReadRessource takes a URI to the repository (basically a string).I have another question about your process. How are you planning the user to fill the form? Are you planning to use LiveCycle WorkSpace or a dif...

You can use the exportData from the Form Data Integration service to extract the data from a PDF.It'll put the result into a "document" variable. Then you can use a setValue operation to put the content of the document variable into a XML variable and use xPath to get to the data element you need. Jasmin

A document variable (com.adobe.idp.Document) can contain pretty much any type of information. Typically that's the data type LiveCycle uses to store the PDF. It also uses that data type to store XML and other things. When you define your xfaForm variable, you point to a file in the repository to be the form template. The form template doesn't get added to the xfaForm variable. It's just a pointer to it. The xfaForm variable will just contain the data for the form template with a pointer to the fo...

You need to put docdata back into an XML variable (in your render process) and then use a setValue to set the appropriate node with the value you want to update and then put it back in docdata and pass it to renderPDFForm.Jasmin

If you have two routes coming out of a step, the process will follow one route for sure. Now you need to make sure of the route evaluation. In you first "User Service" go under Route evaluation and make sure it evaluates the route you think it is first. I've made that mistake several time. You can also check which route the item followed with the adminui (http://localhost:8080/adminui). Go under Services/Process Management/Process Search. Then select the process name and search for it. Finally cli...

You'll need to merge that XML to with your template using LC Forms/ renderPDFForm and then in you XDP, bind you drop-down to one of the XML node to populate it.Do a search (under Help) in Form Designer for "dynamically populate drop-down" and you'll see a pretty good example of that.Jasmin

XDP data doesn't mean you need the whole XDP definition in there. This is valid xfa data that works with the importData:aaaaaabbbbbcccccdddddIf that's not good for you, then you can always the renderPDFForm from the LC Forms service to merge your data with the PDF.Jasmin

When you put /*, it copies all the child node underneath Node1 under XML1/Data/Node1. If you don't have child noded then you should just be able to do XML1/Data/Node1 = XML2/Data/Node1.What I think is happening is because the /*, copies all nodes under XML2/Data/Node1 and the /process_data/XML2/Data/Node1 refers to a node and not a value. If Node1 only contains a value a not child node the use XML1/Data/Node1 = XML2/Data/Node1 instead.Let me know if I don't understand your structure right.Jasmin

Kim you can use xPath to do that. Let's say you have two XML variables XML1 and XML2 with the following content. then you can use the following xPath to copy the value from one XML to the other:/process_data/XML1/Data/Node1 = /process_data/XML2/Data/Node1/*The /* is to copy the children node so you don't end up with Node1 under Node1.Jasmin

Usually, you would send the PDF to the end user. An XDP/XML might not make sense to them. This is more a server-side format to ultimately render an output format(usually a PDF).So my suggestion is to render the XDP into a PDF and then send the email.Let me know if I misunderstood your requirement.Jasmin

Looks like you have your attachments in "document" variables. You can use the following xPath on "document" variables to get the file name associated with it.getDocAttribute(/process_data/@inputDocument, "file")Jasmin

This is to distinguish between java.util.Date and java.util.Calendar types. If the date is returned as java.util.Date, it will be in the DATE.date field. If the date is returned as java.util.Calendar, it will be in the DATE.calendar field. There are a bunch of xPath dates function in the xPath builder you can use.Jasmin

I'll try to make is easy, but here are the steps that I think you'll have to follow.1- Get the user data from DB using "query for multiple rows as xml"2- Use a "Set Value" and get a specific record for a user (ex. /process_data/xmlVar/Users/User[number(/process_data/@index)] and store it in a temporary xml variable (tmpXML).3- put the tmpXML var into a "document" variable (tmpDoc) because that's what LiveCycle Forms RenderPDFForm expects for the data type.4- Call RenderPDFForm and pass the tmpDo...
