I have a form that's used in a WorkSpace workflow process. LiveCycle ES2.5.At a certain User Task "X", there are a couple of "User Actions" defined, say, action "A" and action "B";and they show up in the WorkSpace as a couple of Buttons below the Form. Now, when the user completes the Form, and clicks one of the Buttons ("A" or "B") to route the form to the next participant,I would like to validate the entire form before submitting it;the validation logic, however, would be different based on whi...

I have a PDF form that has 10 pages, each page has a Signature field.I want to put this form in the WorkSpace, and route it in a workflow process, eventually route it to the user who is supposed to sign it.But I don't want him to sign 10 times (one for each page). Is it possible to let him only sign the first page, and all the other 9 pages get applied with his signature automatically? How to do that?thanks

How do you allow the user to pick a specific font size when he fills up a field on a PDF form?is it a feature of Form Designer?or it is a Reader feature?or it can't be done at all?

I never knew that Adobe cares about backward compatibility. sorry, just joking. Actually, I think it would be better if LiveCycle could make use of both the Tool Tip and Custom Text fields. That is, use the text in the Tool Tip field for the screen/mouse, while use the text in the Custom Text field for the Screen Reader. And if the field is empty, use the string in the other, or follow some precedence rules. That way, I can have two different strings for two different environments.Because some text...

If I have "abc" in the Tool Tip field, and nothing in the Custom Text field, and select "Custom Text" as the precedence; when I hover the mouse over it, it displays "abc".So you are saying that the Screen Reader behaves the same way as the mouse? It's good. I just want a confirmation.I still don't understand why you need to have 2 fields (Tool Tip & Custom Text).Because whatever you do with those 2 fields and the Precedence, you can very well accomplish the same thing with only 1 field. Is it no...

I don't quite understand the Accessibility tab.If I enter "abc" into the "Tool Tip" box, and "xyz" into the "Custom Text" box,and set the precedece to "Custom Text",then, when I hover the mouse over the field, it pops up "xyz".If I select "Tool Tip" as the Precedence, of course it pops up "abc".So, why do you need two boxes? (a Custom Text box and a Tool Tip box)If it's always going to displaly the string as specified in the "precedence", what's the other string for?another question is:I don't ha...

I want to use the regular Date field, but unsure what's the best way to validate user's input. The Display Format I am using is "DD MMM YYYY",if the user uses the Calendar to pick the date, there's no issue. However, the user can also type things into that field without using the built-in calendar, what should I do when the user types "MM/DD/YYYY" (eg. "09/19/2011") ??How to validate that?If I put a validation pattern "DD MMM YYY" into the validation tab, it doesn't seem to work.so, please help.

What's the best way to extract ALL the Text elements (Text strings in Text objects, Captions of Fields...etc.) in a Form?I'd like to put all of them in one txt or word file. Just want the strings, don't care about their formatting or position.

what's the main reason for using FormCalc as opposed to JavaScript?is it because that the users won't need to enable JavaScript in the Reader? that a FormCalc form will always work regardless of the Reader's preference settings?

I would like to use the "Purchase Order" sample form as the base, and add one more "detail header" and "detail" subform to it. So I copy and paste the "detail header" + "detail" subforms, and position them right beneath the first "detail" subform. It works to certain extend. I can click the "Add Item" button(s), and it would expand the respective "detail" region. The problem comes when things get expanded to the 2nd page.Say, I first add 5 rows to the 2nd "detail" region, everything still fits in ...

when a form is launched in the WorkSpace, there's a row of buttons (Reader) above the main form window, when I click the "Save" button, it pops up a save-to-file window filled with a default filename. My question is: is there a way to change that default filename from my Application programmtically/dynamically? ie. a default filename that's based on some data on the form.thanks

it's the same result, I still got a blank page.(setting the presence to hidden also leaves a blank page, same as before)in the Javascript console, there's a message saying "DD" is not defined... but in the form designer Hierarchy, "DD" is the root of the form.

Just want a confirmation:the Task ID is a unique number in the entire system, correct?I mean, say, process 123 has the following task IDs: 1001, 1007, 1010these task IDs won't be associated with any other processes in the system, right?
