Is it OK to turn Loggers OFF and leave them in Process? - Adobe LiveCycle 13-01-2009
Hello I added some variable loggers to a process during development. My question: After development is complete, what is recommended practice for the variable loggers? Is it OK to turn them OFF and leave them available for future use, or should they be removed from the proces?. I'd prefer to leave them in the process, but when I've turned one off, I'm noticing an ERROR entry [2009-01-13 11:11:35,916 ERROR [com.adobe.idp.dsc.variablelogger.VariableLoggerService]....that is not there when the logg...

Re: CreatePDF from MSWord using Admin UI : Need Consistency - Adobe LiveCycle 11-11-2008
Hello Jayan,When I launch Acrobat 9 pro extended I do get a dialog...right now it says I have 27 more days on my trial version(Acrobat 9). Then I click the next button and I'm able to create PDF from Word documents without any problems. Do you think that the trial version of Acrobat 9 is not compatible with LiveCycle. I thought that might be the problem but the documentation for LiveCycle 8.2 seems to say LiveCycle 8.2 should work with Acrobat 9 trial--maybe that is not case. Regards,Jesse

CreatePDF from MSWord using Admin UI : Need Consistency - Adobe LiveCycle 11-11-2008
Hello I want to use PDF-G in a process to create PDF from MSWord documents. I'm using JBoss turnkey/LiveCycle 8.2 with SP1 on XP and Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro extended(Trial version).Using PDF-G in Admin is not working reliably for me. I create a simple word document--the content is a one page document with content of "Hello World". Next use the PDF-G in admin console to convert the hello word document to PDF. What is befuddling is that sometimes the process works and sometimes it does not work(conver...

Can Logging Level be controlled from config file - Adobe LiveCycle 22-10-2008
Hello,I have used VariableLoggerService in some processes. My question: Is there a way to set the logging level, for example a configuration file. I'd like to be able to set the logging level for the loggers to any of the available settings from a configuration file. I've have not yet found that topic in the documentation. Thanks for any insight. Regards,Jesse

Re: Cannot read resource located in repository - Adobe LiveCycle 16-09-2008
Hello Jasmin, I'm using an older release of LiveCycle--dont have record/playback. I created a process-getTempdir and a .net client. The client is supposed to return the document at the repository location (/dir1/file1). The process call the ReadResource of RepositoryService passing in /dir1/file1.The process returns the results (a document) to the client:Like:{try{Document doc = svc.invoke();}catch(Exception e) {Console.WriteLine(e};}A null pointer exception is being caught.
