Adding the Jira ticket numbers to the comments in DTM is what's been done by several of my customers; but being able to get actual link and ticket title would really bring value. You could also imagine having to enter Jira ticket as a requirement before submitting a new library, as it would improve accountability and proper documentation of the implementation.

Yes, it's being worked on now. Will be released in January. In the meantime, the best you can do is disable them. Once disabled, you can filter the list views to now show you disabled things. The filter will persist for your user session.

The planned functionality around the migration of embed codes is to migrate the production embed code from your DTM property to your Production Launch environment. The primary driver of this is the desire not to have to go to all the different IT teams that own the sites where this embed code is currently deployed to get them to update to a new embed code. It is assumed that updating embed codes in staging environments is easier to coordinate. There aren't any plans to allow "sharing" of environm...

Yes, Launch Command will detect any libraries on the page deployed by DTM or Launch whether those deployments use self-hosting or are hosted by Adobe using Akamai. And you can replace it with anything you paste into the Launch Command settings, so that can be self-hosted or Akamai-hosted (or anything else you'd like).Keep in mind it only impacts the current browser you're using, so the changes are only taking place for you. The use case is around testing.

We'll be adding labels later on. Part of our work initially was to determine what was absolutely necessary for the MVP, and labels didn't make the cut, but they are on the roadmap. The bubbling is still in Launch as part of the Event Configuration screen wherever it makes sense. If you create a rule with the Form Change event, for example, the bubbling options will show up on the right-hand side of the screen and you can configure them before you save the event.

Thank you so much, @thebenrobb and @Aaronius9er9er9er, for the replies. You both always provide answers that are understandable!I really appreciate you, @Aaronius9er9er9er, explaining the Facebook example - the last sentence the references glue really helped solidify the relationship for me. And thank you for calling out when the Core extension makes separate file vs including it in the embed code! Thanks -Sarah

Can this feature request be brought up in Tuesday's Structured Meetings or in the following week's Office Hours?I think this would get more votes if people went through the process of changing one thing in a rule and then had to go through making a build and publishing it to dev...this is where the fast-path to dev is useful.

I just saw a demo of a Page Info data element type (provided from the core extension) to give you these options. Will release in Q1 sometime.

Due to the openness of Launch and these configuration screens being controlled by Extension Developers, we actually don't have the ability to do this system wide. There is a feature request logged to do it for the Core Extension, but that is the only one controlled by the Launch team.

It has to do with a delay on the Akamai side between when we upload a new file to their Origin, and when that new file is then pushed out to their edge servers, specifically the edge server that is geographically closest to you when you visit the webpage. So the status indicator is the best we can do, which says that the file has been pushed to Akamai's origin. When we do that, we make a request to Akamai to flush their cache so that the latest version goes out to their edge servers, but there is...

Hi Eric. There are a few variations of warnings that Chrome might show regarding the use of document.write. The only one you should ever see due to Launch is one that says:[Violation] Avoid using document.write().The one exception to this is when you have "custom code" that uses document.write in which case the warning you see may be due to the custom code itself. The "avoid using document.write" warning is shown whenever you use document.write for anything and have verbose mode enabled within th...

Other extensions can provide other event types, condition types, and exception types, but currently, the Core extension is the only one that I know of that does. This just means the Facebook extension doesn't provide any conditions. But you can absolutely mix and match within a rule and pull events and conditions from the Core extension, but use an action from the Facebook extension.

Here is a screenshot of how a library structure will look when you enable the Create archive option on an environment. All the files will be inside a build folder containing the build id number (BLxxxxxx). On the same level with the build folder, there will be a symlink pointing to the Launch library that is inside the build folder. All the custom code files will be inside the build folder. The hosted library files will also be inside the folder (like AppMeasurement.js for example). For a library...

Migrated from Alpha--It is really hard to tell through the publishing interface what code or items (data elements, rules, extensions, etc.) are currently deployed to each environment. It would be nice to have a UI that says what items are deployed on which environments. For example, in the screen shot, I created a library, built it, and then submitted for approval and it currently sits in the submitted queue. So, now my question is “What is deployed to which environment right now?” I imagine that ...

Till_Buettner 's screenshot above has a highlight colored over the archive option. When you create/edit an environment, there's a toggle to create an archive. If you don't see that on your environments, please let us know the property name/environment name where the archive option isn't showing up (you can also just copy/paste the URL from the environment page) and we'll take a look.A debug library is an unminified library.
