Re: CheckBox types/ styles? - Adobe LiveCycle 27-02-2013
If there is any weirdness changing your check box with say tabbing to the filed and pressing the space bar, you might want to put the code in the change event. You may also need to use xfa.event.newText instead of rawValue just for the item on which the change event is firing.

Re: Two text styles for one calculated text box - Adobe LiveCycle 27-02-2013
I would just build the XML string. You need the header stuff, the style for Field 1, then rawValue from Field 1... then footer stuff.The reason they are on separate lines is the and tags. The code I posted strips the tag on from the first field and everything up to and including the tag from the second one. If modified to strip the paragraph tags too, they would be on one line. Of course, the style is in the paragraph tag so it would get lost. You could replace

Hi Steve,That is exactly what I ended up doing.For future reference here is the script code I used, seems to do the job:File filename =pathToFile( patExecContext.getProcessDataStringValue("/process_data/@filepath"));boolean doesFileReallyExists = filename.canWrite();if (doesFileReallyExists ) { try { ran = new RandomAccessFile(filename , "rw"); try { if (ran != null) ran.close(); } catch (IOException ioe) { } } catch (Exception ex) { doesFileReallyExists = false; } }patExecContext.setProcessData...

Re: Problem with date field - Adobe LiveCycle 21-02-2013
They are set to display that way already and are not set for OS as it's source. In Object-Field-Locale they are set to 'Default Locale'-English United Kingdom.I might try setting the display pattern and e-mailing that to the Linux guy and see what happens.

Re: Hover text on disabled (read only) objects? - Adobe LiveCycle 26-02-2013
I changed mine to protected and the Tooltips still don't come up. Maybe it has to do with different Acrobat versions or something.
