Dear All, I had a decimal field with following properties: 1) Width = 0.5 mm2) Limit Leading Digits as blank3) Limit Trailing Digits as 5 I need to restrict the user to enter only 15 characters including a period (.) and the number of leading digits between 0 and 5. This means the possible values are possible: Ø 123.45658Ø 123.152Ø 123456789Ø 1234555555.12 and so on I’m able to achieve this by adding the following script on the change event of the field: if(xfa.event.fullText.length > 15) { xfa....

Please follow the below steps (not sure whether this is what you are looking for):1) Take one Text object and place the text before the numberic value in it.2) Take one Numeric field object (or any other field) in which the user will enter the value of his choice and length. Keep the property "Layout/Width/Expand to Fit" as checked.3) Now take another Text object and place it next to Numeric field and place the remaining static text in it.4) Wrap these three field in a subform with "Content" opt...

Hi Dang_Randy,Doing the following might help.1) On the enter/initialize event of DD1, call a servlet that fetches all the fruits. Split and add the fruit items to DD1.2) Once the fruit is selected from DD1, on the exit or change event of DD1, call another servlet (pass fruit selected in DD1) that fetches the colors of the fruit.Hope this helps. Thanks,VJ

Hi Belle7777,I doubt there is some other piece of code that is overwriting the access "protected".I mean, after your fields are protected, there must be some other piece of code which is making the fields access as "open".Pls check.Thanks,Vijay.

Hi, I'm facing the following error while trying to open a PDF. "Adobe Reader couldn't open A9R4XXX.tmp because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachement and wasn't correctly decoded " .I haven't come across this issue in the past. I see this issue recently. While i click OK and reopen the form, things work fine. Kindly advice. Thanks,VJ

If you see my prev msg, i clearly stated that the piece of code should be placed on the layout:ready event of Grand Total field on Page 8I think the mistake you have done is : you haven't included the "TopmostSubform" name in the path. However, you can add the following code on the layout:ready event of the "Grand Total" field on Page8. TopmostSubform.Page2.Table2.Row12.GrandTotal.rawValue = this.rawValue; Thanks,VJ

Hi Sunil,Due to some reasons i'm not able to mail you your form. But, see the solution below:1) Set the "Subform1" binding property as : "Repaeat Subform For Each Data Item".This would solve your problem. Also, you need to set your Page1 to flow content. If not, when you add more instances your instances will go beyond the submit button without moving the button down. Thanks,VJ

Hi mmgiath,form1.Page1.personalInfo.caption.value.#text will always refer to the first instance. We need to first identify where you have added the code.1) If the code is added on the field which is a part of the repeating instance, you can just use the script: switch(xfa.event.newText){ case "A": xfa.resolveNode("this.caption.value.#text").value = "Manager"; break; case "B": xfa.resolveNode("this.caption.value.#text").value= "Director"; break; case "C": xfa.resolveNode("this.caption.value.#text"...
