Thanks.1. I'm curious to know how does the OutOfTheBox AEM Form Components handle such situation?2. There are some blogs/forums that referred me to use a Filter. Does this have any relevance here?com.day.cq.wcm.foundation.forms.impl.FormsHandlingServlet [ http://docs.adobe.com/docs/v5_1/cq-wcm-javadoc/com/day/cq/wcm/foundation/forms/impl/FormsHandlingServlet.html ]

HiIts seems every time you get data from the richtext your code will remove all the HTML tags, Its looks a simpler way to meBut still if you wish to get a better way, I would recommend you to customized the richtext according to your behaviour like it has been done here [1][1] http://experience-aem.blogspot.in/2014/02/aem-cq-56-extend-richtext-editor-add-new-plugin-pullquote.html

I think I hit a break thru. I went ahead and installed AEM 5.6.1 Service Pack 2, restarted my server, did a promote launch and saw a success message. It redirected me to the production page with my changes. I am going to continue to test to make sure it wasn't a fluke but I'm thinking the service pack 2 was the answer.

Where does "dialog-ready" come from, though? I don't see it here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Events and all the references I find to it online are specific to AEM.

In CQ 5.x you can rebuild indexes but for that you will have to shut down the instance and restart it. And for big repositories the rebuilding time can be many hours and sometimes it may go beyond a day. In such a scenario, you should optimize your indexing configuration in such a way to index only the content/nodes which are relevant and configure indexing features which are needed. For example if you don't use auditing reports then you can remove those indexes. See link [1]. Also, to reindex b...

Thanks JK. The OAK issue link was really very helpful. The problem was in the cq-social-commons-pkg-1.5.151.zip package. There was one workflow model xml in the package which was having hardcoded jcr:uuid value. I removed that jcr:uuid manually from the XML and reinstalled the package successfully. The uuid value in the XML was conflicting with one of the existing node IDs in the CRX.

From my point you should know what kind of query strings are required on a server-side, and you should let these query parameters get through. All the other query parameters, which are only required on client-side (for whatever reason) can be safely droppped when they are part of an incoming request (on server-side).Jörg

You can write a custom workflow step which will get the comments as in the code sample given in the forum thread I shared earlier. And then save the read comment on the payload as custom property. In the workflow model just include this step before any participant step in which you want to send email notifications. And then in the template you can read the comment by just fetching it by the name of custom property. Ex - ${payload.previousComment}OR Instead of using default workflow notification ...

Yes, any authoring content including assets is better to be done on author instance. You create asset share pages so that external users doesnt have access directly to your damadmin ! Article that you mentioned have a pretty good coverage of asset finder. Ok, finally, our CQ is upgraded to AEM 6.1 successfully. A couple of gotchas 1. Prior to upgrading to AEM 6.1, we had datastore consistency errors. We needed to make sure that those errors are resolved. They stemmed from -1 length cq:properties node in /var/audit and -1 length data node in CQ created versions for some dam assets. For versioning errors due to missing data, use the version manager tool in etc to purge old versions. For -1 cq:properties node in /var/audit, locate the path and remov...

Hi,I created the dummy binary file and the log states that the CRX Repository is started. There were some additional errors related to oak:lucene and we are still unable to access the instance. I'll wait a bit and see if AEM ever comes up. I have a ticket open with Support. If they ever provide any "official" way to resolve blob related errors, I'll update here. Thanks for your fabulous help!
