I could be wrong, but I don't think the Search will show up until you create the APP and put it on your Tablet/Device. Search would not work for me in the Preflight testing app.

Are the keywords case sensitive ?

Thanks Bob, that did it. That leads me to a question, what data inputs is the search function pulling its key words from? Ive done a search and only one thing is showing up. Also Is there also a way to control the look and feel for that? I'm just getting a blue back screen at the moment.

Im having the same issue with the search not showing up. This is after I published and signed the app.

Ive answered on of my questions about the app being a older version. I didn't know you had to publish the layouts, after I did that the App was up to the current version.But, I still cant seem to figure out why the AEM signing tool wont work and the older version will.

I have the developer certificate now. But my developer certificate and mobile provisioning will only work in the "adobe publishing signing tool", and not the "AEM signing tool" ?When I do sign the app with the adobe publishing signing tool and upload the app to my ipad, its a very old version of the App, how is that possible ?
