Re: Has anyone combined ios and android native mobile apps into 1 report suite? And then maybe separated ios vs. android into virtual report suites? If so, what are the pros/cons of doing so? Thank you! - Adobe Analytics 19-04-2022
The main difference between having two report suites is you double your server calls and you lose the ability to track all of your customers/users if they are across multiple devices. We learned the hard way that we wanted everyone in the same report suite, but it really comes down to your business case. I have worked with a very large business who has asked us to use a VRS for reporting, and we also work with a third-party contractor (Evolytics) who also has experience working in the VRS enviro...

Re: How to create segment to find visitors who visited the site only thrice? - Adobe Analytics 19-04-2022
I would highly recommend using this dimension:https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/analytics/components/dimensions/visit-number.html?lang=en

Re: Dynamic YoY date range based on date selection - Adobe Analytics 18-04-2022
Yes, unfortunately, this is so common. I just spent an entire hour on the phone the other day with @derek-tangren from Adobe talking about this very thing. The very first thing I would be doing is creating a YoY Date Range, and believe it or not, you can actually drag and drop them as Filters/Segments. It's a real time saver.Anyway, shedding some light on this one since I literally just had this conversation last week.

Re: Mobile App Marketing Channels - Adobe Analytics 18-04-2022
After doing what Pratheep has suggested below, I recommend reviewing the following:Refresher on Adobe Analytics’ Marketing Channels Reports: Part IRefresher on Adobe Analytics’ Marketing Channels Reports: Part IIRefresher on Adobe Analytics’ Marketing Channels Reports: Part IIIRefresher on Adobe Analytics’ Marketing Channels Reports: Part IVHere's something else to keep in mind. Is the mobile app report suite going to eventually going to handle both Mobile AND web traffic? If so, you may need to...

Re: Supercharge your Classification Rule Builder in Adobe Analytics! - Adobe Analytics 13-04-2022
I am always looking for ways to improve standards for campaign tracking and classifications, in general, this is definitely a good approach and one way I will be discussing with some of my colleagues. Much appreciated for the post!

Re: Turn off background & percentages by default (Workspace) - Adobe Analytics 10-02-2022
An alternative would be to do this at the PROJECT level. Create the project, and then open a panel, turn things ON/OFF, and then start building. You're right, it's a real hassle and an absolute productivity loss to have to open up multiple gears and doe this over and over and over and over....

Re: Maintaining Historical Data in Analytics - Adobe Analytics 10-02-2022
So, in essence you are just shutting off one valve, turning on a new one, and sending it into the same repository. As long as you have everything tagged correctly with the new implementation, you shouldn't have any problems (and this is a HUGE caveat that should not be taken lightly). We have multiple resources (i.e. sites, and mobile apps) all going into ONE Report Suite, and to create order from chaos, you have to create segmentation, Virtual Report suites, etc. to make sense of the data. Does ...

Re: How to split String with Classification Rules (Regex) - Adobe Analytics 10-02-2022
So, the first thing I always like do is use a tool like Rubular to play around with these things to prove them out, and I'm not sure if you're going to be able to get your example to work out there. However, if this DOES work within Adobe, then more power to you. Adobe Analytics likes to do its own things sometimes.

Re: How to split String with Classification Rules (Regex) - Adobe Analytics 09-02-2022
@Luca_Lattarini Classification Rules using Regex typically work by identifying certain patterns. What specific pattern(s) are you wanting to recognize in order to then "normalize" split things out and/or return different data in your Report Suite? For instance, you can actually have your Regex split on the hashtags or a specific sets of numbers. It all depends on your criteria.

Re: Things you would have wanted to know when your started using Adobe Analytics - Adobe Analytics 01-02-2022
I am in agreement with @FrederikWerner about Props. I think their value is highly overlooked these days.https://www.fullstackanalyst.io/blog/adobe-analytics/why-i-still-love-props-confessions-of-an-analyst/
