Re: Using [subform].keep.next to fix flow problems? - Adobe LiveCycle 18-09-2009
Hi dcutler,I didn't find the real reason why I was having the problem, but by fiddling around with the way my subforms were nested, I did manage to solve the problem... eventually. It seemed that the problems occured where I had a main flowed subform containing only one other positioned subform. There is no good reason to have them set up this way, I just had changed the layout a lot and hadn't realized I had created this situation. Since my positioned subform also had smaller positioned subform...

Re: Using [subform].keep.next to fix flow problems? - Adobe LiveCycle 09-09-2009
I already do have all of the my main subforms, as well as the page objects, set to allow page breaks within content. I have set up the structure so that the larger subforms contain smaller subforms where I would like the larger subforms to be broken across pages. I do have a few subforms which are not set to allow page breaks, and with these I would be fine having some white space as long as I can get the header to stay with the body.Getting the header to stay with the body is my main concern ri...

Re: Using [subform].keep.next to fix flow problems? - Adobe LiveCycle 09-09-2009
Selecting the body subform to Keep with Previous doesn't make the header subform jump around at design time, but when I previewed it in Designer it also didn't keep the header with the body with I selected "No" to the "Image Conversion Options" header.I think that when I select "Keep with Previous" Designer tries to do this, but since the header is on page 1 and there isn't enough room to fit the body subform on the rest of the page, it just moves it to the next page. I need to tell Designer to ...

Re: Using [subform].keep.next to fix flow problems? - Adobe LiveCycle 09-09-2009
Thanks for the smaple, djaknowThe thing is, the objects in my body subforms are all static themselves... the expanding doesn't happen when a user types in too much information to fit in the subform. It's hiding/showing of the subforms which make other subforms move up or downI have tried using the "keep with next" option as you have done for the second header/subform combo. Try using it on the subform called "sub13ExportOptionsHeader" in my sample, under page 4. For me, when I select this the wh...

Here you go, I took all of the pertinent objects out and left the layout with borders to show where text boxes, etc. would go.

Using [subform].keep.next to fix flow problems? - Adobe LiveCycle 09-09-2009
Hi,I have a dynamic form with many subforms, and I am having trouble getting certain subforms which function as headers to stay on the same page as their body subforms when they are flowed. I tried using the "Keep with Next" property in the GUI for the header subform, but that seems to pertain to content areas, which I am not using, and does not work for me... it elicits strange behavior from some of the subforms where they are completely rearranged at runtime or when I click the "next" button i...

Re: Not all form objects export to XML data... - Adobe LiveCycle 10-08-2009
I got it now, $Nith$'s suggestion was right. The objects in the subforms which did not show up had the binding set to "None" while all of the rest had it set to "Normal". I set all of the objects to "Normal" and now they all show up in the XML data. Thanks so much for your help!

Re: Not all form objects export to XML data... - Adobe LiveCycle 10-08-2009
Thank you both for your replies.- I checked the binding on the objects in these subforms, and all of them are set to None. I did not add any binding to any of these objects.- I do have some initialize code on the subforms which I have set up to be hidden if the "No" option in their header is selected, however all of these subforms with initialize code show up fine in the XML. Even the ones which are, by default, set to be hidden when the form initializes. The three subforms which do not show up ...

Not all form objects export to XML data... - Adobe LiveCycle 07-08-2009
Hi,I am relatively new to LiveCycle, and am designing a project intake form for my company which members of our team will fill out and submit via email to the person running the project. Since they may not have Acrobat Pro, I am relying on the fact that they will be sending the XML version which will be imported into a blank form on the other end to show the selected options. My issue is that not all of the objects on my form are being exported in the XML data, so those values are missing from t...
