our engineers state the root cause is that the web page executes some javascript automatically upon load which redirects the url to Pinterest:// xxxx. So if Pinterest is not installed, UIWebView will report an error that the URL could not be opened.I do not have a timeframe yet but this behaviour will change to ignore the error in future AEMM release.Hope that helps

I saw a similar issue today, when linking a collection into a banner.I've used:navto://collection/collectionNameand didn't work.then I've changed to:navto://collection/collectionName?openTo=browsePageand worked just fine.hope it helps.kind regards!
