What would be the drawbacks of adding /conf/setting/global to the sling resource resolver factory OSGI setting to make this happen?

We have the need to occasionally send out locales that are not OOTB. Typically we would overlay under apps with the new locale. In order to do this though in AEM Cloud, would this only be able to be done in a new deployment since you cannot write to apps? Or, is there a place I don't know about where we can do it to extend dynamically?

That's great to know. Thanks. I just wasn't seeing it in the release notes and didn't want to create a ticket if that's all it was.

I've read the release notes. Plenty. I'm not sure you understand what I'm asking. What was taken out previously was login through crxde. Before I raise a ticket to Adobe, I'm looking to see if other's have come across this.

Not sure that's true. I have 4 production instances and 3 staging instances running 6.5.7 and all can login through package manager. As could the two I just upgraded before today.

I can no longer login through package manager on publish instance after installing the latest service pack 6.5.8. I can still through: /libs/granite/core/content/login.html. I'm just wondering if I've missed something in the release notes, maybe?

You can get the URL from the request. You could map those URLs to a property (OSGI configuration for the Servlet) that you can use to determine what data to send back or for processing down a different path. Translations would have to be done regardless - request would have to have something to let the servlet know. You could put the translations into the Database or consider swapping out the database for certain content and use content fragments which are easily translatable. You would need to ...

Situation: 1 Author, 3 Publish instances using a shared file datastore (binaryless replication). What is the best way to run Data Store Garbage Collection? Should it be run on all instances or really just Author since really, author will house all data?

We have 1 author, 3 publish instances. I employed the hotfix on author and 2 publish. We never experienced the issue again on all updated systems, but DID again on the UN-hotfixed. After hot-fixing, no issues on that one also. Hotfix took ~7 minutes to stabilize. Sounds like we rowed the same boat. Good to know!

So the touch screen issue was totally my fault it seems. In order to debug the initial problem, I created a logger on SessionDelegate set to Debug. That was not good. Removing it, speeds things up tremendously. That being said, the hotfix seems to fix the initial problem.

Another thing I've noticed since the upgrade is the package manager will keep displaying "Updating package" when creating a new package. Refreshing the screen shows the package was created as do the logs.

Supposedly, Felix issue FELIX-6252 My production author touch UI sites screen now takes about 1.2s per entry to load. so 40 items takes about 48s. Messing around with Felix framework should not be a service pack fix, this version stuff IMO - 6.6.0.

They've sent me a Hotfix-CQ-4312194-FELIX-6252-1.0.zip. I've installed it but I'm not sure if it is working or not. Lower amount of traffic but we were getting killed in publish after replications as well when the dispatcher would flush: now.

My question is more around trying to understand if anybody else has experienced anything of the sort after upgrading to the latest service pack. CPU usage is just fine. Typically before it would ride higher on large activations and large asset uploads but that is about it.

We've recently upgraded AEM from 6.5.5 to 6.5.7 (didn't install 6.5.6) - running on Ubuntu 18.04.5, Java 11.We have been pretty consistent the last 8-9 months after making some performance adjustments in migrating from 6.3 windows to 6.5 Unbuntu. Rarely having to restart. However, since we've upgraded from SP 6.5.5 to 6.5.7 (we bipassed 6.5.6 - which SHOULDN'T matter), we've noticed really poor performance, author instance needing restarts nearly every 2-3 days and publish instances 5-6 days bec...

These are custom components correct? Are all the pages you have configured in the Publish instance?I've seen cases where people create their own headers/footers and don't bother checking existence of the pages (bypassing linkchecker).

I don't believe you need to create a Post Processor as you can map the fields in the SAML Configuration as properties to the user profile node.

6.5 definitely messed around with the Felix framework. This was another issue I found and have Adobe working on https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-experience-manager/aem-6-5-authentication-cipher-issue-with-bouncycastle-that-doesn/qaq-p/372889/comment-id/78427#M78427

I put this in a while back:https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-6184 and things seem to be better. But we also put in a process to restart after deployments too because we found that is when we would run into this.

Thanks! I was wondering if the CDN would pass a header back that we can use in Apache. I wasn't sure how that is handled working with the cloud: something we have to do or already set up.
