What version of AEM are you using? These looks like a inconsistency errors in the repository. Try to fix the inconsistency errors and see. I would try fixing inconsistency errors first and then purge the versions. in case you are still interested, in AEM 6.4.4 and 6.5.2 (not sure about the exact version), MSM for DAM is supported.

For your question #2, You need to trigger Update Asset - Modify with DM Feature workflow. I would suggest this may need a custom implementation where in you are saving a property on asset which in turn will fire the workflow backend.

Can 1 Custom Metadata Schema Reference Another? - Adobe Experience Manager 09-01-2020

Is it possible to have 1 custom metadata schema reference another? For instance, I have: customSchema1 which has application, image, and video customized underneath it. It is applied to folder1. customSchema2 which also has application, image, and video customized underneath it. It is applied to folder2. The only difference between the 2 schemas is with the image customization. application and video are identical so I'd like to be able to reuse them rather than duplicate them. Any thoughts?

As far as I know, there is nothing to exclude when the copy page.You can write an event listener to remove the property as soon as a page is created(copy).You can check if the page is not published then remove the property on create event, if the page is already published skip.

You can code an event handler that is fired when an asset is added or deleted. The handler can send email.
