Re: Advice on how to organize a large scale project across business areas. Portfolio vs Program, subcategory option in portfolios? - Workfront 06-07-2021
Kelly, yes, I would create a new portfolio and use as many programs as you need within the portfolio. Perhaps you use a program for each business area. The good news is that you can move projects around later if you decide on a different organization. It might help to visualize a filing cabinet to remember the difference between a portfolio and program. The cabinet has all kinds of projects within them. Those projects can be grouped in two ways: a drawer and a file folder. The drawer is the port...

Re: Why would Percent complete = 100% if there are outstanding tasks? - Workfront 01-06-2021
Check out the screen shot I attached with the original question, which shows we had Planned Hours in place.

Re: Why would Percent complete = 100% if there are outstanding tasks? - Workfront 28-05-2021
Now we're onto something. When I promoted the child tasks and recalculated, the Percent Complete calculated appropriately. I created a new parent and recalculated--no fix. Then I created new children tasks, deleted the originals, recalculated--and it worked! I don't know why, though. The task settings all looked normal. But it worked and that's all that matters. I'm going to have the user who reported this keep an eye out for the weirdness. I suspect it stems from the project template. Thank you...

Completion Mode is set to Manual. The Project Status still shows as In Progress for each of these projects; it's just the Percent Complete that says 100%.

Y'know, I was hoping so. I read about that trick in another thread. It didn't do anything as far as I could see.

Why would Percent complete = 100% if there are outstanding tasks? - Workfront 27-05-2021
I have a couple projects that are showing Percent Complete as 100%, but there are several tasks that haven't even been started. The only other oddities I see in this project are the parent tasks that are calculating as zero. I checked the Duration Types and Task Constraints; nothing looks wrong to me.

Users are in the system, but some have to request access to a Proof - Workfront 27-04-2021
I have had two Planners experience this in the last month or so: They generate a Proof, add existing users to the Proof as reviewers of whatever level, then send an automated request to those reviewers. Some reviewers have to request access to the Proof. We can't figure out why. Part of me says this is user error on the reviewer's part, but the first time this happened, it was a seasoned reviewer. Plus, the same Planner has sent another Proof to the same user and it worked smoothly. Has anyone e...

Re: Process and tips and trick on how to proof emails in WF - Workfront 27-04-2021
Are you saying you have copy and a design that you intend to send out as an email? In that case, I would save as a PDF and send the PDF through Proof.
