Allow use of typeahead even if not permissible to object type - Workfront 17-09-2021
The typeahead field is a great time saver...until a user can't do anything with it. We have a request form that asks the requestor (lowercase 'r') to select the Portfolio associated with their request. However, anyone of the Requestor (capital 'R') is inherently and forever granted No Access to Portfolios and Programs. All we need them to see is the name, which the typeahead should provide.

Allow assigning custom form ownership to Groups - Workfront 15-09-2021
I like to group all kinds of things by Group. While it appears to be an option with Custom Forms, it's not a true Group ownership. I've been using the Share function to grant Groups access to Custom Forms as applicable, which works at the surface. If a form, though, has no Group access assigned, the "Group" appears to default to some sort of association with the creator. If that creator moves Groups, the form doesn't follow. This makes it difficult to track who and how Custom Forms are managed.

Extend status dropdown rather than scroll - Workfront 01-09-2021
I've had two users struggle to find project statuses that fall below the scroll line in the status dropdown. They don't realize they need to scroll to find more statuses. Indeed, it looks like there's plenty of real estate to let the dropdown extend as needed.

Re: Where is the setting to control what appears at Project, Program, and Portfolio levels? - Workfront 30-08-2021
I suspect the fields you're looking to hide are a more permanent feature. In that case, you can probably get a little sneaky: hide the Portfolio and Program menu items and instead create and feature a dashboard to report on those things. That'll give you more control over the fields you want the users to see.

I guess the joke's on me: I'm currently the only admin and I get to do all the work.

When logging out of "Log in as", return to Setup - Workfront 24-08-2021
After I shadow a user with the Log In As function, when I click Logout, I almost always need to return to Setup. Dump me there, specifically the Log In As section, rather than Home.

Thank you! That worked perfectly.

Report on all users assigned in a project? - Workfront 09-08-2021
I'm trying to build a project report that includes a column listing all project assignments. I've yet to find the right field to pull. Is it possible in a more creative way?

Re: Is there a way to make a column on a report that the info only lives on the report? - Workfront 26-07-2021
I agree with Katherine: Make a custom form that has limited access. You should be able to pull that field from the custom form into the report for live, tabular updating.

Re: Is it possible to create a overview for a user in reporting, please refer attachment? - Workfront 26-07-2021
Kundan, I would consider a dashboard that includes:A project report grouped by program or portfolio. This assumes you have your projects grouped by either of those. I like to toggle on the Milestone View (assuming you have milestones set on the projects). Depending on how detailed you want your report, you could also run a task report and group by portfolio, program, then project.A calendar that pulls in each of the projects should plot things on a calendar.
