Re: ES2 Evaluation Virtual Appliance convert to ESXi - Adobe LiveCycle 08-11-2010
Hi Jayan,Any ETA on the ES 2.5 virtual appliance with solution accelerators installed? I'm stuck as I've loaded the ES 2.5 appliance (SUSE) and now discover that the solution accelerator 9.5 download does not include Linux installer.See http://forums.adobe.com/message/3261476

Linux installer missing from Solution Accelerator 9.5 Download - Adobe LiveCycle 08-11-2010
The only solution accelerator download that I find at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=solution_accelerators is Solution_Accelerator_9_5_WWEFDJ_Win.zip.The installation document (install_sa.pdf)) says to run the Linux installer from "/Disk1/InstData/Linux/NoVM" however when I unpacked the .zip download file I only see Windows installers.I've installed ES 2.5 from the provided virtual appliance which is a SUSE Linux system so I require the Linux installer. Any ideas where I c...

Re: ES2 Evaluation Virtual Appliance convert to ESXi - Adobe LiveCycle 02-11-2010
Thanks for the note, I've already got it downloaded and imported. Much appreciated!I would be really nice to have the Solution Accelerators installed into an appliance as well. I really struggled (unsuccessfully) with the previous version of the Solution Accelerators to the point of calling them the Solution Decelerators. I approach the new versions with trepidation.---Brian

Re: ES2 Evaluation Virtual Appliance convert to ESXi - Adobe LiveCycle 26-08-2010
I have finally been sucessful in getting the virtual appliance imported into my ESXi 3.5 with VMware ovftool 2.0.1. I converted to OVF first then imported but the documentation seems to indicate that I could have gone directly from the workstation format. Took about 1/10th the time that the VMware vCenter Converter Standalone took and actually worked. In my experience the VMware Converter is WAFT.C:\VirtualMachines\VMwareESX>ovftool --datastore="datastore1" --network="VM Network" ES2-ConvertedAp...

Thanks. Both formats would be much appreciated! Even a URL to do a direct load of appliance into the virtual infrastructure.

ES2 Evaluation Virtual Appliance convert to ESXi - Adobe LiveCycle 23-08-2010
I was dissapointed to see the virtual appliance change to the vmware player format as I need to run it on our ESX envrionment (3.5.0). Shouldn't an appliance for the "enterprise" be distributed for enterprise rather than desktop virtual envrionment?Anyhow, has anyone been sucessfull in converting with the vmware standalone converter? Fails for me with incorrect OVF format.A big vote here for distributing in both formats!!

Re: How to select path from an XML data file? - Adobe LiveCycle 22-01-2010
Hopefully something like that.A visual representation like JavaScript menus would work however it doesn't have to be overly visual. Probably need to give some representation of the hierarchy in the XML file.

How to select path from an XML data file? - Adobe LiveCycle 21-01-2010
I have an XML data file somewhat like the one below with up to five levels deep (variable). I want the user to be able to pick a path by navigating a tree (i.e. Canada/Alberta/Calgary) and have that path put into a data field. If they only navigate part way into the path (i.e. Mexico/Sonora) then that would go in the data field. I have some control of the structure of the XML as I am creating it from a CSV file.Any examples or good advice that you can provide is greatly appreciated. I'm OK manip...
