I am pretty sure that the user wants to change the weight of the tick in the checkbox (not the caption)Using a tristate checkbox, the display defaults to a lighter shade, which is not always ideal.

Hi,I have a Livecycle PDF form, with a file attached.I want to ensure that the File Attachment Toolbar is always closed when the form is opened.I can call:app.execMenuItem("ShowHideFileAttachment");But this does only seems to toggle the state. Is there a way to default it to be closed?PS - By default the Toolbar is closed in Acrobat Pro, but open in Reader

Hi There,Does anybody have an example Livecycle PDF form which allows you to update the contents of an attachment?I'm trying the following code, but nothing seems to be happening (i.e. the file is not updated)... the doco does not say this is a security violation, but I'm thinking it might have changed:var oFile = this.getDataObjectContents("MyNotes.csv");var cFile = util.stringFromStream(oFile, "utf-8");TextField2.rawValue = cFile;cFile += "\r\n" + cFile + TextField1.rawValue ;console.println("...

From Paul Guerett on the Designer thread:I tried it here and was able to change the caption color in the Customize Appearance area. I entered in the 565656 (with or without the # does not matter) in the box provided then hit enter to commit the value. It then stuck. If I did not hit enter then it did not stick

On retesting again - you are right - (using Designer 8.2.1) If I place the cursor at the beginning of the box (without any other text highlighted), I can change the color. I can copy and paste coloured text if I need to reposition it in a different part of the text area

Thanks Paul -Unfortunately when I enter the value in the area and press enter, it places a carriage return into the text entry area, and does not change the color of the text (or stick). If I have highlighted some text within the text area, then it is replaced with a carriage return.I am trying to edit the caption of a field. Is there any other way?

Hi There,I'm Using Livecycle Designer 8.2.1 to create a form Guide from an xdp.I'm trying to define a custom color for a text label (say #565656). GuideBuilder will let me enter the value in the box (in the entry), but will not save it. I can only pick one of the "pre-programmed" colors from the palletteI can't use CSS or a style, as I need multiple colors within the one text field. Is there a way I can do this in GuideBuilder?? Can I redefine a color in the palletteThanks,

HiWe are using an ES2 Guide, and we want to create a form which has custom field validators for things like e-mail addresses and phone numbersIs it best to create these validations in the model? And if so how? Or is it better to create reusable Flex controls for each of the field types (i.e. an e-mail address field)We have tried creating the validation in the Model - but have had problems. Is there any good documentation on how to dio this /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-...

Thanks Paul, Jono,Unfortunately the form is being OCR'ed by a separate company - there is very little tolerance for scaling as this will affect the placement of fields

Many Thanks again NiallI've tried Designer ES2 - it's good that it prevents scaling, but it doesn't stop printing 2:1The Shrink to Fit could be an option - we actually had to turn it off previously (because it was being used inconsistently) - now we may have to try turning it on..Thanks for your time helping here ... I think we'll need to look at a solution which involves instructions to the usersRegards,Tim

Ah - Thanks Niall,Adding the XML PDFPrintOptions properties to the File source would be fine..Is there a setting to turn off the horizontal scaling or 2:1? Many people print 2 pages on 1 (i.e. 2:1) - to save paper.. I just tried those settings - It definitely doesn't print Duplex any more, but it does still print 2:1 if set. Thanks again,Tim

Thanks Niall,So just to recap - if a user has their default printer preference set to print 2-1 pages, then there is nothing (programmatically) we can do to force it to print 1:1....?

Thanks PaulThe issue we are having is not due to a script error, but that the form submit button appears to try to validate the entire form before the inidividual field validations workI heard via other sources that we need to change our Flex wrapper, such that the Submit button is hidden (and replaced with a "Dummy" submit button)The Dummy button then runs the field validation, and then invokes the Submit button click event if all successful.

HiI'm not sure if this is a Livecycle question or an Acrobat Question. We have a Livecycle form that calls a WebService - this works fine on the internet. One of our customers has a Proxy server, which does a redirect to force their users to enter a Username + Password. Acrobat generates a "Network error" in this environmentIs there anyway Acrobat can mirror this for the WebService call?My expectation is no - and that the url for the WebService needs to be added to a Proxy whitelist or similarThan...

In lieu of a better solution - I used the javascript option. On pre-print event Check if the starting page is an even number and if so display a blank pageYou have to keep a count of how many extra pages you add, as it affects subforms below also (i.e. I am check on approx 7 subforms)i.e. for each subform:if (sfmX.presence == "visible") if ((xfa.layout.page(sfmX) + lOffset) % 2 == 0) { sfmX.sfmBlank = "visible"; lOffset += 1; }On PostPrint hide all extra blank pagesSeems to work OK

When the form is printed (in duplex), I want each subform to start printing on an odd numbered page - this means in duplex, that each form will be a single document. Is this possible (without writing Javascript to insert blank pages after each subform???Thanks
