Data Grid Problem - Adobe LiveCycle 20-07-2007
Just tried this method out, and maybe I'm doing somethingwrong, but rowCount doesn't actually seem to affect the number ofrows displayed in the DataGrid.Adapting the DataGrid example from the built in help in FlexBuilder, but I'm tripling the number of employee records in thedata declaration and amending the declaration of the Datagrid tolook like this: There still seem to be 12 records showing no matter what Iuse for rowCount. Has anyone tried this, and can they confirmwhether it's a proble...

Re: Data Grid Problem - Adobe LiveCycle 20-07-2007
That really helps me out too, Ed. Thanks for the info.I haven't checked this yet, but I'm assuming if you leave thevertical scroll on, then you should be able to have large (e.g. 50,100) page sizes without some data becoming inaccessible, so I wouldimagine most important property to set is rowCount=pageSize.I was thinking one step above where I should have to makefull use of the built in paging; I was looking for an answer at theDataService level rather than at the actual point of delivery forth...

Re: LCDS and paging - Adobe LiveCycle 19-07-2007
Have you seen the part of the example configs where it talksabout what is required for data paging to work? tag. The paged-fill method should have two additional java.lang.Integer params at theend of the parameters specified via the tag. The first param specifes theindex in the fill collection from which this method will start retrieving records. And the second paramspecifies the number of records to be retrieved by each paged-fill call. Default enabled value is false. Default pageSize value is10. Default custom value is false. -->It seems to imply to me that you need the paged fill methodsin your config in addition to the regular ones. I admit I have not got as far as getting a working pagingsetup yet, although this is something I will need to get working inthe near future.

Flex - WebServices Security Problem - Adobe LiveCycle 19-07-2007
Peter, I'd assume that if the data was in any way sensitiveenough to worry about that, then the service would already belocked down for authenticated users only. But I think the point at issue here, is even onceauthenticated, if the username is an actual parameter passed to theWebservice, the same problem will still exist, except now the userwill need to be authenticated before they can see other peoplesdata. As far as I'm aware (I'd like to be wrong) but sinceWebServices usually just POJOs, they ...

Data Grid Problem - Adobe LiveCycle 19-07-2007
Have you already got the normal type of paging working inyour program, where the fill is updated as the user scrolls throughthe datagrid? Your data-management-config.xml (don't forget to blank anypasswords) and the place in your app where you declare theDataService named ds would be useful to see how you are buildingthe data on the server side.Don't trust me opinion on this, as I'm fairly new to the DataManagement features, but there may be some way to patch into thenormal paging method but this...

LCDS: Reflect DB updates using SQLAssembler - Adobe LiveCycle 19-07-2007
I've been using the SQLAssembler quite successfully so far,but I've hit a small snag.I'd like to poll for changes to the result of the DB queriesand update the clients when a change occurs. Before I'd got intothe javadocs in detail I'd assumed that triggering a refreshFillwould do what I wanted, and my Java method looked something likethis:public void refresh() { DataServiceTransaction dst =DataServiceTransaction.begin(false); dst.refreshFill("sql-helpdesk", null); dst.commit();}Having checked t...

Re: Problems Installing PDF Generator Elements 7.2 - Adobe LiveCycle 27-03-2007
Check the 2 log file in C:\Adobe\LiveCycle\jboss\server\all\log and see if there are any useful messages. Maybe something is already using the port JBoss needs or something...

Re: Unable to view documents through Adobe Reader - Adobe LiveCycle 26-03-2007
The guide Chris mentioned talks about setting up SSL, but you need to import the certificate into the "trusted root CA" store in Internet Options on every machine which will open the document. You probably have got the SSL set up correctly, but just to emphasise there should be absolutely no warnings what-so-ever in IE when you hit the https://hostname:8443 address -after- closing and reopening the browser, and it should show the Padlock symbol to indicate the SSL is on. In my experience this mea...

Re: Problems converting images(gif, tif, bmp, jpg) to PDF - Adobe LiveCycle 13-03-2007
Looking at the matrix I can see that "Searchable PDF files from images" isn't ticked for elements, so OCR must not be available. I just saw the error message and it rang some bells from a problem I'd encountered on Pro. Sorry I can't be more help than that.

Re: PDF Generator using SOAP? - Adobe LiveCycle 13-03-2007
AFAIK the size limit (maxRequestSize or similar) and timeouts are usually set on the web server. Could 25Mb be a default setting on your particular environment? What web app server/web service client combo are you using?
