Re: Action "remove field" always removes first instance - Adobe LiveCycle 15-03-2017
In case you still need an answer....I would have the add button outside the repeated subformMy subform is called sfbtnAdd: click (javascript)this.resolveNode('form1.#subform._sf').addInstance(1);if (xfa.host.version < 😎 { xfa.form.recalculate(1);}btnRemove: click (Javascript)this.resolveNode('form1.#subform._sf').removeInstance(this.parent.index);if (xfa.host.version < 😎 { xfa.form.recalculate(1);}This remove button should remove the subform where the button is clicked. I have had a problem li...

Re: How to get page-to-page flow? - Adobe LiveCycle 11-02-2018
I build all my flowed forms into multiple tables.It is very easy to hide a table row or a whole table to make your form work nicely.Using different sized tables it also gives some control over the layout of a flowed form, something that you normally lose.

Re: LiveCycle ES4: FormCalc or Java Script-Trying to create a conditional caption script based on other object value - Adobe LiveCycle 05-02-2018
Hi,A bit late to the party, but maybe it will help you or someone else.I am sure you are aware that by using the exit event for the code, the event wont execute until another object is clicked on.I don't think your code is correct. HireType is the group name and does not have a rawValue. The items in the group do though.Regardless, in Javascript to change a caption name use:StartDate.caption.value.text.value = "Original Hire Date"; //the caption will change when another object is clicked (group ...

Re: Keeping Fields Open While Saving/Printing as a PDF - Adobe LiveCycle 17-05-2016
What you will need to do is add code to the form's PreSave and PrePrint events.If you add this, it will lock the field:this.resolveNode("textFieldName").access = "readOnly";Change 'readOnly' for 'open' to unlock the fields (you could add that to a button to unlock the fields if required). You could even add a password to it.Tip: if you use 'readOnly', the tabs for the fields will still be active. Using 'protected' will skip the fields if tab is pressed when using the form.

Re: Autofill a Form - Adobe LiveCycle 17-05-2016
You can do it by adding code to the change event of the employee profile dropdown box. You would need to code in all the employee details and manually add text to their relevant fields.You can populate a second (or more) dropdown but you have to make sure you clear it first like so://dropdown change eventif(this.rawValue == "Steven Speilberg"){ dropdown2.rawValue = ""; //sets the visible value of dropdown2 to null dropdown2.clearItems(); //clears the items in dropdown2's list. This must be done ...

Re: If-And statements - Adobe LiveCycle 30-03-2016
Never mind, solved it. The fault was with my code. I needed to add the existing contents to the additional contents.if (this.resolveNode("TableBreakfast.Row1.Order").rawValue >= 1) { this.resolveNode("form1.#subform[1].OrderPlaced").rawValue = this.resolveNode("form1.#subform[1].OrderPlaced").rawValue + this.resolveNode("TableBreakfast.Row1.Order").rawValue + " X " + "Bacon and Egg Roll" + "\n";}

Hi,This will be a start for you.if ($.boundItem(xfa.event.newText) == "Jan") { this.resolveNode('Project._MySubform').addInstance(1); if (xfa.host.version < 😎 { xfa.form.recalculate(1); } this.resolveNode('Project._MySubform').addInstance(1); if (xfa.host.version < 😎 { xfa.form.recalculate(1); } this.resolveNode("MySubform[1].TextField1").rawValue = "February"; //adds to first new subform field this.resolveNode("MySubform[2].TextField1").rawValue = "March"; //adds to second new subform field}A...
