Re: Locking an object to the bottom of the page MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
You could put a signature footer on a master page and adjust the content area to suit, but if you go over a page, the signature footer would remain on the page that is associated with that master page. Not sure if there is code you can write to change the master page depending on how many pages there are in the form or if that is even possible.

Re: Building a smartform in LC with radio buttons MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
I started with these tutorials:Creating a Purchase Order Form - http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/lcdesigner_qs_poform.pdf Creating a Purchase Order Form That Has a Flowable Layout - http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/lcdesigner_qs_poformflowable.pdf The forms can be coded with Javascript or FormCalc. Sometimes you will use both. The Help included with LC is great, i have gotten many tips from there. The scripting does use prompting to try to make it easier to code, sometimes it h...

Re: How do I clear an image without clearing a whole form? MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Easy. Create a button for removing the imageGive the click event for the button the code below:ImageField1.rawValue = null; Here is another tip in case you want to reset the form but keep the images.Create a Reset Button and give the click event the code below://this code stores the image in a variable, resets the form and puts it back. Effectively not resetting the imagefieldvar img; //create variableimg = ImageField1.rawValue; //give the variable the image that is in the ImageFieldxfa.host.rese...

Re: Concentating Text in a Text Field MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
I tackled a similar thing to this. Mine is slightly different and puts each item on a separate line, but it should give you the general idea.I have a Button, a TextField and three checkboxes and the code uses FormCalcform1.pageDocumentSetup.btnConcatFruit::click - (FormCalc, client)var lb = "\u000a" //linebreak character code. Use to create a line break between each item.TextField1.rawValue = null; //clears the text field when the button is clickedif(cbApple.rawValue == 1) then TextField1 = conc...

Re: Locking an object to the bottom of the page MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
I wanted this as well and did some 'out of the box' thinking which works perfectly. The basic thought is that I have a table you can see that you can add and remove rows but also have an invisible spacer table and then another table with the signature in it at the bottom. You need to do some testing to find it's position, but basically when the form is loaded the visible table has one row and the spacer table has 10 rows (or whatever you need to make it push the signature table to the bottom where...

Not a difficult thing to do but i would suggest looking at Adobe's Tutorials, they gave me a great start into the world of LiveCycle.Creating a Purchase Order Form - http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/lcdesigner_qs_poform.pdf This one is what you after, you create a table with adding and removing rows with calculated amounts.Creating a Purchase Order Form That Has a Flowable Layout - http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/lcdesigner_qs_poformflowable.pdf

Re: Calculate the difference between two dates - in Years and Months - not days MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
It would be possible. Need to use calculations to work it out. Use Date2Num to convert dates to numbers. I found the few times i used it, using FormCalc worked for me.

Re: Using LiveCycle, am I able to generate text fields based on which checkboxes are selected? MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,This is absolutely a great way to do it. I have already created several forms that customise a letter to be output. There are some considerations:-• I use a setup page. On it i have the options (checkboxes) and buttons for Processing the Form and Resetting the Form.• When you process the form, you will want to hide your setup page. This CANNOT be the first page. Livecycle restricts hiding of page 1 of the form. I coded mine so that the setup page is the last page and when the form opens, it go...

Livecycle not respecting Full event when TextField text comes from a button click. MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
I have created a form which contains a button, some checkboxes and two text fields. When the button is clicked:If checkboxes are checked, some text is concatenated (using form calc) and the text is added to the first textfield. (I have concatenated text as I am adding carriage returns so each new checkbox’s text is on a new line). Each checkbox has it’s own if statement Because there is potentially going to be up to 60 text items added, it would be nice to have the text spread over two textfield...

Re: Auto number new repeating rows MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi bobbych,Whoa, code overload. Didn't really help much seeing all the code, but the problem you have is easily solved. In my example i have a table (Table1) with a repeating row (Row1). There is also a Button to add rows (Button1) and remove rows (Button2). The first cell of the table row has a Numeric Field. In the NumericField Initialize code place://when initialised give this cell the value of the row instance//whenever a new row is created, the new row will be given the current value of the i...

Re: Adobe LiveCycle - Form, when saved duplication of fields MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
I haven't seen this problem before, but there is an alternative you can try.Try using Checkboxes rather than radio buttons. You can make them work the same as a radio button by making sure that when it is changes to checked, the rest of the checkboxes are unchecked. See if that makes a difference.I have done this previously as i think the checkboxes look nicer

Re: Show/hide subform with dropdown selection MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
If you only have two options, ensure you have code for both options. I find it works better to have specific code per item rather than an else code.Example: If the first option hides a field and the second option doesnt. Make sure that is reflected in both item's code. In the first option: show required option 1 fields and hide the option 2 fields. In the second option: show the option 2 fields and hide the option 1 fields.

Re: Problem with dynamic PDF form. Headlines of tables multiply independently when opening the form! MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,Make sure the correct row is being repeated in the Object > Binding Options. The simpler option which I do all the time, is to just have the heading row as a separate table above the repeating rows. If required, add it to the master page and alter the content area.

I can answer one part of your question. You can view a fully working dynamic form in a browser, but only Internet Explorer handles it. IE11 for sure, not sure about earlier versions.

Re: Digi-sig reruns initializations (as does ordinary saves) MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
Hi,I have done something similar where i wanted something to run once and not run again. I was creating a form with a password. When the user opens the form for the first time, they are asked to create password, the next time they just enter the password they created. After they enter a password, an item is changed. The item is also referenced in the initialisation event and code won't trigger depending on the item. You could do it with a variable but i just used a simple TextField.I have a hidd...

Re: Change fillcolor if there's a value (javascript/pdf/acrobat) MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
I would place the javascript in the exit event. This code will colour the whole field (including caption) if when exited the field is not empty. If it becomes empty again, the colour returns to white. If you dont want to colour the caption as well, set the field to have no caption and just add a text object next to it.TextField1:exit (Javascript)if(this.rawValue != null){this.border.fill.color.value = "150, 150, 150"; //RGB colour grey}else{this.border.fill.color.value = "255, 255, 255"; //RGB co...

Does the signature lock the form? If it is a livecycle created form, you have the option of locking the form when signed which will mean it cant be cleared.Other things to try: If using Acrobat Pro• Right click signature and click Clear Signature• In the Tools > Sign and Certify section, click More Sign and Certify > click Clear all signatures.

Re: Unable to sign with certificate MinusZero - Adobe LiveCycle
HI,Generally the Adobe Digital signatures work with the Windows Certificate Store. If you are using Windows 10, click start and type certificates, click on Manager User Certificates. This will open the Certificate Manager. In the list at the left, click Personal and Certificates. The certificates installed on your pc should show. Right click the certificate and select Properties. Ensure the radio button "Enable all purposes for this certificate" is checked.See if that helps.
