I hadn't thought of the read out loud option as being an accessibility feature. You need some that can work out the structure of the document (the roles assigned to headings), if the fields are mandatory, handle dynamic content, error.Try NVDA, https://www.nvaccess.org/ Bruce

Mhmm, I don't know why it is behaving like this... maybe change the data pattern to yyyy-mm-dd, or change the pattern in util.printd to match the data pattern of the field... otherwise I don't know, maybe if I could see the form I could test things out

Hi there, you can either set the parent's (subform) access to readOnly or protected which holds all the fieldsor call a recursive function that will iterate through all objects within the form to set all fields readOnly or protected.a recursive function could look a lot like the following:

Hi there,to have a drop down field within a dialog box, you should use the following dialog methods:Adobe LiveCycle Designer Cookbooks by BR001: Using app.execDialog() in an Adobe Designer Form if you download the file Dialog.pdf, all required information is within the file using LiveCycle Designer to view the code. This is advanced JavaScript coding for LiveCycle Designer, creating dialogs' design using code. For organizing the months in the order you want, I think making an array can do the tric...

Hi Tarek,I did a form that had a repeatable collapsible block (Site locations in my case), so when an error was detected I had to make the site visible before navigating to the field. The errors were in a listbox and the click code, would check for the field being visible, if not it would work up the structure looking for a script object with a makeVisible function in it. Is that like your situation? var targetObject = xfa.resolveNode(targetSOM.value); // Use the xfa.layout.page method to determ...

Alright I got it to work now... but not entirelyIt seems to work only on the execution of the second initialize of the form, afterwards it still returns null.Either in a click, initialize or calculate event, the getField returns null each time, it only returns the current signature status when the form is opened and initialize is fired twice because I execute initialize event of the form on docReady...

You are quite right. After updating PDF Xchange Editor program, issue was resolved. It looks like their software development team had addressed some known XFA glitches in a recent minor update. Thanks for your time and assistance.

Thanks a lot Magus069 ... sure this will work ...I will try to implement this in the coming sprints. I only have 3-4 functions like that. But I am always wondering, if our team is writing the code, then why we should be concerned about using "eval()"??! What risks it will have? No external party has access to change the possible value of the code to be executed by "eval()".Tarek

Hi there,Allow Page Breaks must me checked, and it does not always check it for you. Also, ensure that every parents are flowed subforms, otherwise this will not work.if you have a positioned subform, this subform will never page break within content.

Oh... OH. All this time I was trying to get the script-defined variables! I had no idea we were talking about pulling rawValues. I do that all the time and it should have been obvious. On the one hand, this does fly in the face of the original reason I was doing all of this in the first place. That original intention was to create a set of formulae based on variables instead of pulling the long codes of rawValues, hopefully making it easier to follow for whoever comes after me in three or four ye...

Hi there,I think there might be a better way than what I am about to propose you.. but I got it to work using the layout:ready event.Technically you only need 1 page with a subform containing 2 tables. the second table is to be placed on Top of Next Page which will make it look like you have two pages.Take a look at how I managed to make it work, a bit sloppy but it works.Untitled1.pdf - Google Drive I hope this will help you

Hi there,Ensure that your page is flowed content as well as Allowed Page breaks... All of the text field's parents must be flowed and page breaks for this to work and make sure that your text field is also allowed page breaks.I hope this will help.

Thats awesome Magus069 for creating a easy resizing table. You can also use it in the exit event of a combo to 'restrict' how many rows can be in the table.I saved that to my code archive.

Not sure if this could be the reason, but you might want to make sure that your fields are Plain Text Only instead of Rich Text under Field Format.

SUCCESS! Wanted to let folks know I resolved my problem in the event this happens to any of you out there!By putting in the app.alert (so simple!) I could identify the script was not triggering where I had it in the form. I moved up the script to occur right after the WaiverType was populated by the application - using the FORM READY event. Thanks Magus069!

Hi,The code in the click event runs with the this property set to the XFA button object, so a variable reference of x will refer to button.x as in the buttons x position. I'm a bit surprised this works for anyone, there's a whole lot of XFA reserved names which I have slowly learned to avoid, like desc, id, index, items, name, nodes, parent, value, x, y, ...Bruce
