When you say you copied a table from Excel, do you mean you imported the table or you created all the object to have the same table in your PDF Form?

//strPassword.substr(), created some problems... somehow it could return more than one character at a time.... I don't know why but that was the problem for duplicates... so I changed it for charAt()//Also sometimes it was possible you could only have 6 or 7 length instead of 8 all the time... I had to add (i--;) if boChar was true//Now it should work perfectly fine!var strPassword = "";//Set up the length of the passwordvar intLength = 8;for (var i = 0; i < intLength; i++){ var random = Math.fl...

Yea I made an error in the code, strValue is suppose to be strPasswordfor (var z = 0; z < strPassword.length; z++){ if (strPassword.substr(z, z + 1) == strChar){ //The character is contained in the string, value is now true boChar = true; } }

Math.floor(); method returns a decimal value to the lowest value,so (Math.floor(6.34) = 6) & (Math.floor(6.78) = 6)Math.random(); method returns a decimal value between 0 & 1 the decimal value can be 0.642512573 or 0.2346572 or 0.85673 (randomly generated)Multiplying this number by 150 return a minimum of Math.floor(0.0000001 * 150 ) = 0 -> to Math.floor(0.999999 * 150) = 149 by increasing the number 150 you can use more characters in the ASCII table and can have more chances to have random char...

Just like any other language, you can create a random string based on the ASCII Table! Using random numbers to generate random characters...var strPassword = "";//Set up the length of the passwordvar intLength = 15;for (var i = 0; i < intLength; i++){ //Math.Random(); returns a random number between 0 and 1 var random = Math.floor(Math.random() * 150); //make sure random is a good character for your password if ((random >= 48 && random <= 57) || (random >= 65 && random <= 90) || (random >=97 && ...

can you show me the code written in add row click?If I understand, it should be something like so:Sum($.resolveNode("frmExpenseDetails").ExpenseDetails[*].Row1.GST)but seeing you add row code should help, even if the action builder did it for you, there's should be some code in the click event

Oh!!! okay geez, you create instance of your table with you parent Subform or with your table?When you click Add Row, you are using instanceManager.addInstance(1) or insertInstance(x), when you write your calculate code line you must input this [*] on the object that you add instances too

No, the initial template of your form is what Livecycle read and save, all the new data inserted by any other app is not considered as being part of the form.

I am not sure if this could fix it... but you might want to name your Subform that contains ExpenseDetails other than the table's name itself... Code your AmtExclGST total too in the same way of your GST to see if there's any difference

Nothing is too complex to calculate, using FormCalc should help you big time!Using formCal for every instance should look something like this :Sum($.resolveNode("ExpenseDetails").Row1[*].GST)Row1[*] specify every instance of the object

Make a var that counts how many fields are not blank;var intCountMetaData = 0;for (var i = 0; i < this.resolveNode("YourSubform").instanceManager.count - 1; i++){ if (this.resolveNode("YourSubForm[" + i.toString() + "].Field2").rawValue != null){ intCountMetaData += 1; }}

All you need to do is get how many instances of Field2 there is... this.resolveNode("YourSubform").instanceManager.count... it's easier using rows for that

By the way I think that the stars --> Q1[*] you are using in your code have more chance to work in FormCalc than javascript and it must be used outside of the resolveNode also

Yea, I've looked for exporting data to an excel spreadsheet but it was horrible the way it exported data into the ss... The command to export data to Excel is in Adobe Acrobat Pro by clicking on File > Save As... > SpreadSheet > Microsoft Excel Workbook... also there's XML SpreadSheet.. But I don't like the way the data is spreaded through the excel table... If you find a more convenient way to do so, I would like to know too...

Create one table to enter data freely and able to add instance, and each time you add an instance of a row in the first table, you also add a row in the second table.When you enter data into the fields just create a script to put the data from one table to the other tableEx: Table1.Row1.TextFieldName:exit event this.resolveNode("Table2.Row1[" + this.parent.index + "].TextFieldName").rawValue = this.rawValue; Table1.Row1.SubformAddDelete.ButtonAdd:click event this.parent.parent.instanceManager.ad...

Euhmm... looks like you don't want to use JavaScript to do this... JavaScript is to interact with the form and the values... and for maths you should be using FormCalc... you only need to write one line of code!! Look out the FormCalc User Reference for help... everything is in therehttp://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/es/FormCalc.pdf
