QR Code size is too large - Adobe LiveCycle 06-07-2015
I am adding a QR code from the object library of ES2. The form will not be interactive. The form will be rendered with xml data captured from a UI. The QR code will be binded to a field from a schema. This field will be a URL that will allow users to scan using their mobile phone or maybe a hand held scanner. The URL will be dynamic in size so I am unable really to get a maximum size of data unless I force it upon the source system to limit the characters so I can predict the size of the QR. By ...

Choice Subform Set - Edit Alternatives - Not working? - Adobe LiveCycle 23-10-2014
I have read about the use of Choice Subform Sets. I have wrapped 2 suborms within a choice subform set. Then from the subform set tab in the object palette, I am choosing the Edit Alternatives option. Within Edit Alternatives, I select 'Choose Subform Whose Name Matches Data Element or Attribute'. I then name the alternative subforms to "opt1" and "opt2". I have also added a data node in my data xml with the same name. For example, T. If I understand the Adobe "help" screen for this subject corr...

Choosing between different table versions (rows) within a document doesn't work? - Adobe LiveCycle 13-05-2014
I created a new page which will display 1 of 2 versions of a table. Only 1 version will display. Never both. The tables differ in that one has one more column than the other. I need to maintain the width of the table to be the same. New to Designer, I have learned that writing script to make visible is flawed for my needs. It's flawed because within each table there is a repeating row that is bound to the same field. Table1.Row1 binds to InvoiceDetailData fields. Table2.Row1 binds to the same In...

Re: Overflow leader/trailer displaying as leader/trailer correctly but also displaying outside repeater - Adobe LiveCycle 03-04-2014
Well, that was easy. Thanks! Am I correct in that the only way to edit the text within the referenced objects is to pull it out of the referenced object so it's visible again in the design view? I didn't expect it to disappear when I moved it into the referenced object.

Re: Overflow leader/trailer displaying as leader/trailer correctly but also displaying outside repeater - Adobe LiveCycle 03-04-2014
Thanks Bruce. I am new to Adobe Designer. I have been wondering what that Referenced Object was on existing templates I've used to model new ones after. I have always been deleting them for no good reason. So now I am trying to find how to insert a Referenced Object if one does not exist in the hierarchy. I am currently looking in 'help' and 'google'.

Overflow leader/trailer displaying as leader/trailer correctly but also displaying outside repeater - Adobe LiveCycle 02-04-2014
When creating a new overflow leader and trailer, a subform is created and added to the hierarchy. I've correctly assigned the repeating subform to the overflow leader subform and the overflow trailer subform. When rendering, it works for the repeating subform but the subform's text also appears outside the repeating subform due to the fact it is still a subform with text. There is nothing that I can find in the leader/trailer subform telling Adobe to not display it outside of being a leader/trai...

Re: Need ideas on how to display a footer on last page only on a dynamic document - Adobe LiveCycle 02-04-2014
Thanks for your feedback. I think I get what you're saying but more than one instance can fit on the first page. Each transaction is one row. I like the hiding on previous idea. I didn't know you can do that, of course I don't know a lot at this point.

Re: Border pattern changes without consent - Adobe LiveCycle 19-02-2014
Thanks. I will check it out. I'm using ES2. Have you noticed in ES3, when a text object that breaks to the next page where the content is indented or margin...if the next page continues the indentation? I noticed ES2, I would indent text and when it continued to the next page, it didn't retain it's indent. I then chose to use floating fields with instead allowing clean previews and template formatting.
