Re: Group Administrator Anomolies - Workfront 10-02-2020
Hello! I am also interested in the expansion plans for Group Admins, as well as having a better understanding as to how the Group partitions function. We are encountering issues with new setups appearing in our environment, as many groups at our company are signing on to Workfront, and each group uses the tool very differently. And even with a governance committee (which we started several months ago), we are still struggling to ensure each group does not overstep and make changes that affect al...

Re: Search - Workfront Archived Groups 15-01-2020
I agree with the steps Stephan has provided, especially the preselected category (which I assume for most of us would be Project). Debbie Scalf BCBST

Re: Portfolio Set up: Instructions / Cheat Sheet - Workfront Archived Groups 08-01-2020
Alex, I am assuming you are asking about how to structure your Portfolios (and not just how to create them). If my assumption is correct, this thread may be helpful. Recommendations on representing division/department structure within an organization My advice is to get your project managers together and come to a consensus as to how to structure portfolios and programs. Re: Vacation Coverage - How? - Workfront 05-12-2019
Thomas, Since you are both the intake person and the Project Manager, that makes it difficult to transfer to anyone else, unless someone else has Project Management skills. I'm sure you could reroute your queue to someone else in your absence, but you would still have to train them on how to convert the request to a project. And then would that person be able to be the Project Manager for all requests while you were out (likely depends on volume of requests)? I'm sure there are other community m...

Re: Request Queue set up for multiple videos - Workfront 20-11-2019
Doug, I haven't heard of using an Expense Object, but since you indicate it would resolve cases such as ours, can you provide an example of where you have used this, or even Workfront documentation on how to use Expense Objects with custom forms? Debbie Scalf BCBST

Re: New 'List' option for single line text fields in custom forms - Workfront 20-11-2019
This functionality would only be useful for me if it also includes the ability to create a separate project for each item listed in the request. I could utilize this for requests where someone needs multiple design deliverables within one campaign, but they are all tied to the same Division, Department, and purpose. Right now if someone needs a poster, a landing page, and a monitor slide for the same creative campaign, they have to submit three requests and fill in much of the same information f...

Re: Request Queue set up for multiple videos - Workfront 20-11-2019
Jazmin, As I understand it, a request can only be tied to one project. So my question would be, are you going to manage the multiple video requests as one project? If not, you would need them to submit separate requests for each video anyway. This is the problem we have come into with design campaigns. I can build a custom form that allows a user to select multiple deliverables (poster, monitor slide, invitation) but since I can only tie that request once to one project, it is not beneficial for...

Re: Allocating Hours for Multiple People in a Task - Workfront 11-11-2019
You may have already considered this, but what about keeping Shoot as the main task, and then create sub tasks for each person, so they can be accounted for separately. Debbie Scalf BCBST
