Re: Timesheet - pinned task - Workfront 29-10-2019
@Kevin Iuliano If a task is pinned to a user's timesheet, it was done so manually. The only way to un-pin an object from a timesheet is to click on the pin icon. If the task does not meet the criteria of the timesheet (found under Setup > Timesheets & Hours > Preferences), then that task will fall off the user's timesheet. If it does meet the criteria, even if unpinned, it will stay on the user's timesheet. It is not currently possible to report on pinned tasks on a user's timesheet, so if you a...

Re: Counting Function - Workfront 24-10-2019
@Matt Strong Like Doug had mentioned, there is not currently a way to filter collections within a project report. I know you are looking for a single view you can export that shows project name, project reference number and total number of tasks, so like a matrix report, you could also do the following: 1. Create a Task Report 2. Filter for Task > Number of Children > Equals > 0 3. Before you add/remove any columns, go to the Groupings tab and group the results by Project Name 4. Go back to colu...

Re: Counting Function - Workfront 23-10-2019
@Matt Strong If you were to create a Project Report, add a column for Reference Number and then create a new column, switch to text mode and paste the following, that should pull in the record count of tasks: displayname=# of Tasks textmode=true valuefield=totalTaskCount valueformat=HTML If you want to rename the column, just change the line, displayname=, to whatever you would like! New Blog Post! Basic Utilizing Custom Tabs - Workfront 23-10-2019
Did You Know? Utilize Custom Tabs to Display Object-Specific Information Did you know that you can get a high-level overview of a portfolio without having to click into each program, project, task or issue? Or that you can pull the custom form of a program into a custom tab on your project to avoid navigating back and forth? By utilizing custom tabs, you can add dashboards to certain objects in Workfront, providing more visibility into the details of your workflow and fewer clicks . Workfront wi...

Re: Hours over budget showing in RED - Workfront 21-10-2019
@Bill Gattinger If you have created a calculated field to capture this number, you will want to go ahead and add this field as a column to your Task Report. Click on the column header and then select Advanced Options in the top left. Add a column rule for this column so you can apply conditional formatting (highlighting). In your case, you will want it to look like the following: Task > Hours Remaining > Less Than > 0 Choose red as your background color then click, Add Rule. You can now save and...
