Creating a confidential Issue queue - Workfront 10-01-2019
Hi there; We want to create a confidential issue queue. Our goal is to create a confidential form that the user can submit to a forum for review by a small team. We would like to restrict viewing access to that issue to the person submitting and the small team that reviews it and acts on it. Thanks! Bill Gattinger Contractor Mobile 780-717-6209 If you have received this email in error, please let me know by return email so I can make sure it doesn't happen again. Because emails can contain confi...

Reporting on Issues Converted - Workfront 27-12-2018
Hi There: I am creating a report that shows issues converted to projects or tasks by our company division classifications. I've got the report to show me number of issues converted grouped by that company division but I would also like to add a sub-grouping by resolving issue type (project or task). But while I can find that field in the Columns section of the report builder, it is not available in the Groupings section. Any ideas? Thanks very much. Deleting Parent Tasks from a Task report - Workfront 15-11-2018
Good morning all: I am building a Task report to capture information on tasks from several projects. How can I filter to remove the top Parent task in the report so that I am not getting duplicate hours data? We use several maintenance projects to collect and house all of the individual task requests that come into the queue. Thanks! Re: In-House Resource Cost vs Agency/Contractor Cost - Workfront 29-08-2018
Hi Monique: If you go to Setup/Job Roles, you can add a "street" value in the Bill/hr rate for each job role. By assigning the hourly rates (in your market) for each job role, you can easily calculate what the work would cost if using an outside agency by adding that field to your report. We are even more basic than that - take the actual hourly cost and multiply by 3x, which will give you a pretty good approximation of what you would pay on the street. Hope that helps! Re: Assigning Requesters to Tasks - Workfront 23-08-2018
Hi Paloma: We do this all the time. We have a large number of requestor licences in use and of course, they are not able to modify tasks etc. But by being assigned to the task, they get visibility into that task; responding to updates, viewing documents etc etc. We just ensure that the co-assignee to their task marks their portion of the task complete so that WF is complete. Re: New home beta screen and issues - Workfront 29-06-2018
Hi Jenna: Our workflow is slightly different, using an approval by the Traffic team to launch the conversion process. Our Creative Traffic team converts requests from a simple report of new issues added. The report contains basic information (name, source, their business unit, which request queue they came from (we have several), priority, status (new, awaiting brief approval, waiting for more information etc.) and the age in days of the request. Once each request has been approved and actioned,...

Re: [requests storage] best management practices for high volume request queues? - Workfront 15-06-2018
Hi Skye: We use two main request queues - each has a significant # of issues (requests) coming in each year. we have never deleted any requests from the queues in 7 years and have not noticed any degradation in speed we capture fiscal year and fiscal year month (our YE is March 31) in each request so that we use that as a filter on reporting. Repeating jobs year over year are titled with FY in the title - to allow us to report easily attached files always copy over with the requests as they are ...
