Re: Limiting proof notifications - Workfront 22-12-2021
In my past Workfront life we converted all issues into projects and did not give the requestors access to the projects. We then did all of our proof routing in the project so they were never alerted when a document was added. When ready to share with them we simply added them to a proof workflow.

Re: Limiting proof notifications - Workfront 22-12-2021
In the user's notification settings under the Requests I Have Made section there is an option for A document is changed or uploaded on an issue for which I am the primary contact. I would think that this is the setting that is sending that notification to the requestor. If you uncheck that on their user account they should not get that notification. But I always like to confirm that there is no reason that they would need that notification for any of their other Workfront work because they would...

Return to your place in a project timeline after opening tasks to edit them. - Workfront 20-12-2021
When working in a project timeline, if we open the task to edit its information, once complete it brings you back to the beginning of the timeline. This can get very time-consuming when working in projects with long-list of tasks. It causes us to then search for the task we were working on in the timeline in order to continue. When updating a timeline that requires many changes this is a huge nuisance. If you inline edit a task or open it but make no changes it will leave you right at the locati...

Is there a way to prevent the status of a request queue from being changed? - Workfront 16-12-2021
We have a request queue project that the status keeps getting changed by a couple users to a setting that causes our automation to delete the project. Is there any way to lock the status on a specific project so that only an admin can change it?

Re: Has anyone created a custom column or field that calculated the a specific day after a planned completion date on a task? - Workfront 13-12-2021
Hello, I had a user today ask me if there was a way in a project timeline to make a task default to a Thursday start date. I thought of this thread but I am not sure if it will apply. Basically it's a task for a submission but the submissions always have to happen on a Thursday. So no matter what the predecessor is we would need to make sure that task calculates to the next Thursday. Is there a way to accomplish this?

When multiple people are assigned to a task, is there a way in the project timeline to display if one of them marked "done with my part"? - Workfront 08-12-2021
When opening up a task there is the option in the assignment area to mark it "done with my part" and then it puts a green checkmark next to your icon. Is there a way to get that same information from within the project timeline view? Either a column that shows who has marked it "done with my part" or getting the checkmark next to the user's name. We are trying to prevent users from having to open the task to see this information. I considered having them mark it 50% complete but we wouldn't know...

Re: How to get only projects in which the viewer is assigned a task on a task report. - Workfront 07-12-2021
I think this will work for our process. I will do some testing. Thank you for your help.

How to get only projects in which the viewer is assigned a task on a task report. - Workfront 07-12-2021
I have a task report that is grouped by project name. The purpose of the report is to display 3 specific tasks for each project (Task A, B, C). I want to make it only display the projects that the viewer has been assigned one of these tasks. How would I accomplish that? I tried the assignment code BUT then it only displayed which task they are assigned to. I want all 3 tasks to show but only for projects that they are assigned to one of the 3 tasks. Here is the code I am using right now: OR:1:na...

Is there a way to report on the choices from a dropdown field to determine if they are being used? - Workfront 28-10-2021
I have a drop-down field that has 225+ choices. I am hoping to determine if some of those choices are not being used and possibly no longer needed. I created a project report that filters by projects that use that form and grouped by that field. If I look at the summary it lists each choice and how many times it's used. Is there any way for me to see a list of all the choices that aren't being used? This would take a while for me to go through and compare to full list.

Re: Issues with the Workfront Teams Integration. - Workfront 22-10-2021
That was my next step. I was hoping someone knew of a setting that was causing this but my low-tech brain can't crack it. Thank you, I will submit a ticket now.
