Re: Custom customer satisfaction survey - Workfront 18-10-2016
I'm asking around about this as well. Good info, David. I'll be looking in to your approach for sure. But would really prefer to have a survey sent out automatically when an issue/project is marked as complete (definitely will need to analyze and report out on the custom data collected as well). Better yet, trigger it to be sent when a specific milestone is completed (due to the nature of how our project schedules are structured). Interested to hear how others have tackled this as well. I'll add...

Re: Last Night Was Fun! (Thank you ESPN!) - Workfront 07-10-2016
Agreed! We got a lot out of it. I'm looking forward to staying connected to everyone. Keep the dialogue going! And.....when we get a Boston user group set up hopefully some of you can make it up there (I know Barry's in). Cheers!

My Work Page - Ready To Start vs. All - Workfront 29-09-2016
Does anyone know if we're able to change the system default on the My Work page so that when users go in to the Work Requests tab it always opens to the "All" subtab instead of "Ready to Start"?

Re: Report Planned vs Actual Hours at project level - Workfront 24-08-2016
I'm looking to create a report for similar purposes. But I can only seem to add in planned hours for a project's entire life, not for a specific time period (i.e. how many planned hours were in the schedule for last week). We'd like to use this to continually review accuracy of our planning. It helps to do it on a weekly basis vs. waiting until the end of the project because it's fresh in the PM's mind. They can then learn from the differences and update how they adjust planned hours in the futu...

Re: Assigning users to multiple tasks using Job Roles - Workfront 02-08-2016
Good stuff! I like the filter / bulk edit option. We were using the bulk edit option w/out filtering first and it was causing some issues (because we assign multiple job roles to a single task)...thus I started this thread. Filtering by "Assignments Roles >> Name" worked wonders! Thanks so much guys.

Assigning users to multiple tasks using Job Roles - Workfront 01-08-2016
Calling all experts! What is your practice for assigning a user to multiple tasks within a single project using job roles? Example, we have a project with 100 tasks. 1 job role (we'll call Jedi) is assigned to 45 tasks within the project. I want to assign Sally (who has Jedi as her job role) to all 45 tasks. How can I do this in the quickest way possible. Appreciate your insights.

Re: Assigning parent tasks? - Workfront 01-08-2016
Hi Eric/Narayan, so if someone does log hours to a parent task do you know if that messes up the total hours for that parent task? Meaning do those logged hours overwrite the aggregated sum of hours for the child tasks. Sounds like you both have experience with this so wanted to ask the experts! Thanks!

Re: Commit Dates are killing us - Workfront 28-07-2016
This is great, Doug! It's my first time getting in to AtAppStore and I'm having a hard time gaining access to UberCalc to install/connect. Any advice or suggestions would be great. Thanks! Mike

Re: How do you stop users putting time against a completed task? - Workfront 26-07-2016
Yep, exactly what I was getting at. Thanks, Eric! Our process is such that we need to pre-populate with completed tasks (i.e. timesheets are due on Mondays). We're trying to increase adoption of logging hours when marking a task as complete but until then this is our approach. We reduce the number of tasks by limiting it to those with planned dates within 1 week of the timesheet's timeframe. We've found that reduces the amount of tasks displaying.

That report sound great. Something else that may help reduce this occurence for you......there's a preference in the timesheets area in Setup that allows you to toggle on/off pre-populating timesheets with completed tasks (see attached). I haven't played around with all of these preferences myself but perhaps they can help you to some degree. Thought I'd share. Cheers, Mike
