Re: Project Implementation Dates - Workfront 03-03-2020
Hi Erich, We do exactly what you said, we use a milestone attached to Implementation Date. We call it Production Deployment (Final) . We also have Production Deployment 1, 2, 3, & 4 for those instances when the project may be Agile or it just has several deployments. But the Final one is the one we use to compare to the Target. We do a bunch of automation with the API as well, but I'll save that for another discussion.

Re: Can anyone help tell me how to export to MS Project? - Workfront 03-03-2020
Hi Christina, It's been a while but I believe I did it by exporting from WF to Excel, then importing the Excel into MS Project.

Re: Planner can only see old portfolios and not the new ones - Workfront 02-03-2020
Hi Cortney, You probably have to give them access to the Portfolio(s). You can bulk Share too.

Hi Alex, You can go to the Staffing tab (probably under More) > People > Update All

Re: Portfolio Optimizer Missing???? - Workfront 02-03-2020
I'm still not seeing it and I'm an Admin. I even went into the Sharing and added myself (which I typically don't need to do as I already have access), but it's still not showing.

Re: Portfolio Optimizer Missing???? - Workfront 28-02-2020
LOL – nah I haven't used it in forever. So it's more likely they removed it because I wasn't using it - "use it or lose it" logic. Though our original poster obviously uses it, so not sure what's going on here. Could it be a bug that's cluster specific? I also tried the pre-requisites from this article and created a new portfolio with my own project to meet the requirements and still nothing. > https://experience.workfront.com/s/article/Understanding-the-Portfolio-Optimizer-356650079#locating-po...

Re: Portfolio Optimizer Missing???? - Workfront 28-02-2020
I just checked and I'm not seeing it on our instance either. We're also in Classic, and in CL01 if that matters. I checked the Layout Template as well and it's not displaying there to even include.

Re: Do parent tasks not respect lag? - Workfront 20-02-2020
Hopefully they fix it or give you an answer before Leap . But yeah I'd love to see it or know the answer when you find it.

Re: Search functionality - Workfront 19-02-2020
Hi Jennifer, Sorry to hear that. I haven't heard that from my users lately, so I was assuming it was fixed. I know the workaround is supposed to be to have them use the Advanced Search, which last I knew was working pretty well. They might try that for the time being.

Re: Approval Path Glitch - Workfront 19-02-2020
Hi Amanda, Yes, this is a "feature" in WF. When a Request is set to Awaiting Feedback, WF will automatically change the status back to In Progress when an update is made. It's assuming you received the feedback you were awaiting. So in this case you happened to choose In Progress as your Approval trigger and thus it's re-triggering it. Since I don't believe there is a way to turn that off, I would just change the process to either use a different status than Awaiting Feedback after the Approval ...
